We are excited about the Annual Charlie's P.L.A.C.E. Halloween Trunk of Treat Community Block Party. Despite the uncertainties of 2021, we are grateful to provide a safe family-friendly community event. Trunk of Treat would not be possible if it were not for our great community partners. This event will take place on Sunday October 31, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the 1900 block of Krom Street in Kalamazoo Michigan. If you would like to participate by bringing a vehicle to hand out "treats" we ask that you complete the Trunk of Treat Vehicle Registration form. Social Distance guidelines will be in place for all community members.
Best Trunk Contest Rules
Participants will have the opportunity to be entered in our “Annual Best Trunk Contest.” This year's theme is Hocus Pocus and Halloween Magic . Trunks will be judged by a panel of judges for the chance to win a traveling trophy and other prizes and by attendees for the chance to win "the people's choice award." Entry in the contest is not a requirement to participate. Click here for official contest rules.
Vehicle participants are in charge of bringing their own candy and/or safe Halloween treats. All items must be pre-packaged. This is a free event, open to the public and for all ages. In the past, we have had between 800-1200 attendees come to this event, so please plan accordingly. We ask that participants keep vehicle decorations and treat family friendly!
COVID Protocal
Due to COVID, we have made some additional accommodations:
- All participants must wear masks during the event.
- Individuals handing out candy must wear gloves.
- All candy must be pre-packaged.
- All candy must be handed out directly to community members from your team.
- Gloves, mask, and hand sanitizer will be provided for participants
Thanks again for your participation. Please complete the form if you want to participate in the block party, regardless of whether you will be a part of the contest. This helps us to make sure we have a spot for you on the block. If you have questions, please contact our volunteer coordinator by email at volunteer@kzoocharliesplace.com.
Please complete this form as soon as possible.
