Bougainvillea Academic Merit Scholarship

The Bougainvillea Academic Merit Scholarship is available to any undergraduate student from the Caribbean Region who is academically qualified and enrolled as a student at USC’s Main Campus. Trinidad and Tobago nationals are eligible for scholarships if they are enrolled in a program that is not funded by the Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE) Programme.

• Students from the Caribbean region (T&T nationals eligible if enrolled in programmes NOT funded by GATE)
• Enrolled/accepted at USC’s Main Campus. 
• Applicants should be registered (completed or in-process) for no less than 9 credits in the semester in which they apply.
• New Students: A minimum 3.0 high school GPA (equivalent to A or A- average), or a minimum of five Grade Ones in their presented CSEC subjects.
• Returning Students: 3.0 Cumulative GPA.

Letters of Recommendation. Please provide 2 formal letters of recommendation. One from a character reference and one from a professional or academic supervisor. Letters should indicate the relationship to the Applicant, and provide a contact phone number and email for follow-up.
