Requirements of re-instatement of CFPCM mark if under a period of two years:

• Be a Member of Financial Advice NZ in good standing.
• Apply for mark reinstatement to the Certification Committee.
• Meet all the Ethics requirements of the Association.
• Submit your CPD log for the prior two year rolling CPD period that meets the CFPCM mark standards of 60 hours CPD, of which 30 must be structured CPD and the balance either structured or unstructured CPD.
• Indicate in writing, or by CV, your practising history for the lapsed certification period.

Requirements of re-instatement of CFPCM mark, if over a period of two years:

• Meet all the requirements listed above.
• Meet the current Education requirements for the mark – that is, having attained the NZ Graduate Diploma or Degree in Personal Financial Planning or equivalent qualification or higher. The Massey University paper in Estate and Tax Planning is a mandatory paper.
• Meet the current Supervised Experience requirements of the mark or submit a Portfolio of Experience.
• Meet the current Examination requirements of the mark – this currently entails sitting the Case Study for CFPCM and any examination (if developed).

Financial Advice NZ is the licensed authority for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM (CFPCM) mark in New Zealand through its agreement with the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB).
