  • *Our goal is to lift up our farmers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs, provide a place for our community to gather, to shop local, and celebrate that we are better together.
*Our shared vision between our vendor family and Waialua UCC is that we only rise TOGETHER.
*Vendors Include: farmers, food, resale products, resale food, artisan and handmade products, arts & crafts and assorted local businesses. This is not a yard sale or swap meet. Please offer products accordingly.
*Vendors may not sell non-specialty drinks such as bottled water, sodas, or juice. (You will see Waialua UCC selling those to help pay for market advertising.)

    1.
      1. Our market is planned for you to thrive as a business or entrepreneur! We currently don’t charge a vendor fee, and hope you will consider a donation, as you are able to do so, at each market.
      2. Our market prefers those businesses that are prepared to be committed to every week, biweek, or month; however, we may allow certain scheduling that will work better for your business. Please discuss with our market coordinator when contacted. We also allow exceptions including vacations, illness, and emergencies.
    2. Vendor set-up begins at 1:00pm. Please have your set-up complete by 2:45pm. There is no movement of vehicles/food trucks during the time of the market 3:00pm – 7:00pm. NO EXCEPTIONS as it puts adults and our children at risk.
    3.
      1. We request vendors not wear/sell/speak profanity or sell/drink alcohol during the market or sell/use any other kinds of substances with the possibility of a mood altering consequence, whether legal or illegal, during the market. These will not be tolerated.
      2. No abusive language, language that involves swear/inappropriate words or phrases, or abusive and violent actions during the market and while you are on the Waialua UCC campus will be tolerated. If there is a dispute of any kind between you and a visitor to the market, ask a Waialua UCC representative for assistance.
      3. No domestic disputes or any other kind of disputes within your booth or with another vendor will be tolerated.
    4. We do not guarantee exclusivity; other vendors may sell similar products.
    5.
      1. Vendor is SOLELY responsible for collecting/remitting/putting into practice that which may be required by law and the Department of Health. Waialua UCC is not responsible for advising you and will not be held responsible for guidance of that which may be required by law and the Department of Health for you as a vendor at the Waialua UCC Tuesday Market Waialua.
      2. If you serve food or pour drinks on site, the market team will do planned and random checks of your required documents. If you serve food or pour drinks on site, you MUST have a Special Events Permit, printed, and with you every market. Having it on your phone will not suffice for the DOH-you MUST have it, printed/hard copy with you each time. https://health.hawaii.gov/san/special-event-permit-applications/
      3. If you serve food or pour drinks on site, you MUST have liability insurance that names Waialua UCC in your liability list. If you serve food or pour drinks on site, the market team will do planned and random checks that you have included Waialua UCC on your liability insurance. If you do not have insurance, please secure it prior to your first market. One option many food and drink vendors use is: nextinsurance.com. Please choose the insurance coverage best for you and add Waialua UCC under your liability list. If asked to show proof by a market representative, a copy on your phone will suffice.
      4. If you prepare and package your food off-site from the market, and do so in a non-commercial kitchen, you must add stickers to each packaged item stating the item was prepared in a non-commercial kitchen as per the DOH. In addition, please have a sign at your booth stating as such.
      5. If you prepare/serve food at the market, and have an open flame, you must have a fire extinguisher, in your booth, as required by DOH and Waialua UCC.
      6. If the Department of Health closes your booth during a market, for any reason, you must discontinue any sales, but your vehicle may not leave the market until 7:00pm. There is no vehicle movement during the hours of the market 3:00pm – 7:00pm. No exceptions, as it puts our adults and children at a great safety risk.
      7. If the Department of Health closes your booth during a market, for any reason, the Waialua UCC Tuesday Market Waialua Team will review your continued participation in the market.
    6. Vendor will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Waialua United Church of Christ, and any of its representatives, from any and all liability arising from bodily injury or property damage, incurred in connection with the Tuesday Market Wailaua hosted by Waialua UCC.
    7. Vendor Spaces are considered 12 X 12 or accommodate the size of one pop-up tent with a little extra room. Food truck spaces are different in size, as each truck is different, and those will be assigned as per your unique truck size. Some booths accommodate parking ONE vehicle beside or behind your vendor space; other booth spaces will necessitate you unloading your booth and parking your vehicle elsewhere (beside the road in front of the church and two parking lots close to the church.) Waialua UCC will direct you in where/how to park your vehicle.
    8. For your best interest, and others, we require you to have weights for your tent, at all corners, in case of wind.
    9. Upon your arrival, you’ll receive your vendor space, and our plan is for you to go to the same space each time. However, vendor spaces are assigned at the discretion of Waialua UCC and may be changed as necessary. We want you to succeed and will always appreciate your input!
    10. Please let us know if you are going to be on vacation, away, or have an emergency. Please let the market team know ASAP if you are not going to be able to be present at a market. Vendors who do not show up for their space at a market, without prior notice, will automatically be moved to our wait list and off our active list.
    11. Food Truck Vendors: Please provide any necessary documentation for selling food.
    12. No vendor vehicle movement within booth/shopping area from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Please do not block another vendor/booth as you load/unload and set-up. Please do not block the drive pathway for vendors to navigate through during set-up and take-down.
    13. Please place your vehicle beside or behind your booth, or parked off-site, as it is specifically requested of you/your booth location by Waialua UCC.
    14. Please be kind to shoppers and other vendors. We are better together, we only RISE together, and we want everyone to succeed! Your vendor space can be withdrawn from you, and you can be asked to leave, at Waialua UCC’s SOLE DISCRETION FOR ANY REASON Waialua UCC Tuesday Market Waialua Team and/or Waialua Church Council deems appropriate.
    15. Please take all your trash with you when you leave.  We ask that you treat our campus as if it is your own yard. Do not leave discarded trash of any kind. Do not place trash in our restrooms or in any receptacles on the campus.
    16. Please DO NOT pick fruit from our fruit trees. You will be asked to leave and not invited to return.
    17. Restrooms are close to where your booth/truck will be located. You may use them, but please DO NOT venture beyond them. You will be asked to leave and not invited to return. (This is for the safety of other events happening on our campus.)

    23. Waialua UCC reserves the right to reconfigure the set-up/spaces as needed with growth.
    24. Waialua UCC, or any of its representatives, is not liable for theft or damage of any merchandise before, during, or after the Market hours.

    29. Our Market is a rain or shine market; however, if the weather forecast predicts an abnormal system of rain, hurricane, or it’s just simply pouring without stopping, we’ll send an email to everyone ASAP to let you know if the market is cancelled for a Tuesday due to weather. We will try to do that by Sunday night if it’s a system forecast, and as early as possible prior to, or on a Tuesday, if it’s pouring with rain.
