Terms of Agreement

This contract is intended to ensure that your cake will be made, designed, and delivered according to your specifications.

Deposit: In order to reserve your date and confirm your order, this contract must be fully executed and your deposit shall be received by Copper House Bakery. The deposit shall be received no later than 14 days after the cake tasting. The deposit shall equal 50% of the total balance. The deposit is non-refundable and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Final Payment: Payment of the remaining balance, if any, is due one month prior to your event. If payment is not received one month prior to your event, we reserve the right to refuse your order.

Changes: Any changes must be made no later than one month prior to your event. Changes could result in an increase to the total cost. Any additional charges incurred due to an order change must be included in the final payment.

Release of Liability: Copper House Bakery will make every possible effort to create and safely deliver your cake. Once delivery and setup are complete, Copper House Bakery shall not assume any responsibility for any acts committed by you, your guests, florist, caterer, or any other person with regard to your cake, property damage, or injury in relation to our services and/or provisioning of your cake. Copper House Bakery shall have no responsibility for the condition of the cake after delivered to you or to your wedding venue. High temperatures can adversely affect your cake. It is your responsibility to arrange for an appropriate place for your cake with the venue, out of direct sunlight and away from unnecessary heat. Cake design is a creative and organic process. Copper House Bakery will do our best to replicate and create your selected design as closely as possible.

Use of Photographs: Copper House Bakery reserves the right to photograph your cake for our own reference, display, or promotional advertising without compensation to you. Copper House Bakery will not post any photographs to social media until 24 hours after the event.

Cake Pick-Up: Should you choose to pick up your cake, Copper House Bakery shall not be responsible for any damage incurred once the cake leaves the Copper House Bakery premises.

Delivery: Orders totaling $500 or less will be responsible for paying $0.75/mile, roundtrip. Orders totaling $500 or more will receive up to 30 miles at no additional cost. Deliveries exceeding 30 miles, roundtrip will incur a $0.75/additional mile.

Dietary Restrictions: Copper House Bakery provides vegan, gluten-free, or dairy-free cake options. Allergies and/or dietary restrictions should be discussed before the tasting.

Cake Tasting: We offer personalized wedding cake tastings from the comforts of your own home. After our initial consultation, we will schedule a convenient time for you and your significant other to taste your specially selected cake varieties. The price of the cake tasting ranges from $40 - $150. Our cake tastings include up to three servings each of six different flavor combinations, as well as delivery to your home. If you choose to sample more than six flavor combinations or request extra servings per flavor combination, additional fees will be applied. If a second tasting is required, you will also be charged an additional fee. If you wish to have our Pastry Chef Chelsea Freet present, please be sure to specify this request, additional fees will be applied. Upon completion of your tasting, you will have up to two weeks to finalize your contract in order to reserve your wedding date.

Rentals: Copper House Bakery charges a $50 cake stand rental fee/deposit. The rental item(s) must be returned within 14 days of the delivery time and date. After 14 days, the deposit shall be forfeited. Our cake stand supply is limited; therefore, you have the choice to purchase or rent your own. Before purchasing cake cutlery, please check with your caterer to see if they provide these items since many of them do. Cake toppers and flowers must be provided by the client or client's florist. Copper House Bakery will not assume responsibility for providing cake toppers.

Other: Copper House Bakery allows up to two different cake combinations for no extra charge. Each additional cake combination will cost $50.
