Towanda Lions Club Memorial Skilled Trades Scholarship
The Towanda Lions Club is proud to offer a $750 scholarship in memory of its members who have passed away since the club's founding in 1975. This scholarship is available to students pursuing a career in a skilled trades program, which includes fields such as carpentry, cosmetology, dental assisting, electrician work, heavy equipment operation, HVAC, machining, masonry, mechanics, plumbing, printing, and welding.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a skilled trades program.
- You must live in the Towanda area (zip code 61776) or Towanda Township.
- You must be a high school senior graduating this school year or currently enrolled in a skilled trades program.
- You must have at least a C average in your high school coursework (verified by your transcript).
- Your completed application must be submitted by March 15, 2025.
This is a one-time scholarship; however, if you are not selected one year, you may reapply in future years as long as you are still pursuing an undergraduate program in the trades.

Prepare your documents:
- You'll need to upload the following:
- Your high school transcript.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Your skilled trades class schedule for this fall, if available.
These documents should be in PDF or Microsoft Word format.
Complete your application:
After receiving the email with your application link, click on it to fill out the form. Make sure to use a computer (PC or Mac) for the best experience.If you can’t finish the application in one sitting, you can save your progress and return later using the link sent to your email.
Submit your application: Once you’ve filled out your information, you’ll have the option to review and print a copy of your application before submitting it.
