  • Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities worldwide. Since 1913, more than 200,000 predominately African American college-educated women have joined this sisterhood. The Sorority currently has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea.

    The Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will award scholarships to chosen Black/African American students who demonstrate a high degree of scholarship, leadership, and community service.

    The applicant must be a Black/African American resident of Loudoun County, Virginia, and a graduating high school senior with a cumulative 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

    Please note, children of members of the Loudoun County Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated are not eligible to apply for chapter scholarships and awards.

  • Two letters of recommendation must be submitted by February 19, 2022. It is preferred that the letters be on official letterhead and may be from a teacher, employer, volunteer supervisor, school counselor, principal, or vice-principal and directly emailed from the recommender to scholarlcacdst@gmail.com. Do not submit a recommendation from anyone who is a friend or related to you by blood or marriage. 

     

  • F. Electronic Transcript

  • Submit an unofficial transcript from StudentVue, which includes the Fall 2021 semester of your senior year. Applications without a transcript will not be considered. The unofficial transcript can be emailed to scholarlcacdst@gmail.com and with the student’s name as the subject. Official transcripts in a sealed envelope with the signature of the school official across the raised seal may be requested at a later date.
