  • Abstracts must be written by the student presenter and Approved by all mentors and co-investigators prior to submission.

  • Prior to abstract submission, presenter(s) must have registered the presentation through the Presentation Registration Form.

  • Please complete a Presentation Registration Form entry first prior to abstract submission.  You will need the Registration ID for abstract submission.

  • The title section of your abstract will be formatted for you based on the text information you enter, including the names, institutions, and departments of your co-authors. Please list co-authors such as mentors and co-investigators in this section of the form in the order you would like them to appear on the abstract title section. (Co-authors do not include the presenter. Presenter's name will appear first. Please do not include presenter name here.) The main Research Mentor or the PI of the project is often listed last. Please consult your mentor or PI for appropriate listing order.


    Primary university affiliated (UMB affiliated) school, department, and division is used for the abstract. Please consult the individuals for accurate affiliation information. Additionally, please also provide  other on-campus affiliation separately such as VA Medical Center, UMMC, CVID, IGS, etc.


    Note: Due to limited resources and time, only 5 co-authors in addition to presenters will be printed on the program booklet. Presenters may include additional co-authors on the poster or acknowledge additional contributors in the content of their oral presentation.

      Your previously submitted presentation title can be found in the confirmation email with the subject line "Form Submission: MSRD Presentaiton Registration Form" that you received during presentation registration.

    • Note: Please remove all headings from abstract body. The abstract body should be in the format of a single, continuous paragraph.
    • If the abstract contains special formatting (e.g., bold, italics, underline, subscripts, superscripts) in the presentation title or the body of the abstract, you must attach the portion of the abstract (presentation title or abstract body or both) with special formatting, in a MS Word file (DOC or DOCX). Name the file in the format "AbstractSF.LastName.FirstName". Include the title in the attachment only if the title also contains special formating (e.g., "in vivo").
