    Do you love visual arts? Do you want to help spread the word on our mission or volunteer your time with us? Join the Artspace Ambassador program! The Artspace Ambassador program is composed of dedicated community members who share a passion for supporting Artspace’s mission of providing subsidized studio rentals, exhibitions, community events and art education programs. Artspace Ambassadors assist our team by offering their support in a variety of ways.

    Ambassadors Expectations:

    • Attend one virtual Artspace Ambassador orientation hosted on the first Monday every month at 12pm or the second Thursday every month at 3pm
    • Volunteer with Artspace every other month
    • Share Artspace’s promotional details on social media
    • Help build the hype on our exhibitions, programs, and artist opportunities
    • Undergo a background check if you plan to volunteer during our youth art education programs

    For their service and dedication, Artspace Ambassadors receive the following perks:

  • Artspace Ambassador Code of Conduct

    Ambassadors are an important asset to Artspace and make it possible for our team to deliver positive experiences to community members. As an ambassador, you represent Artspace and our values. As such, it is important that you adhere to the following Ambassador Code of Conduct: 

    1. Ambassadors shall act honestly and ethically while in the performance of their volunteer duties.
    2. Ambassadors shall be reliable and punctual in reporting for scheduled events and programs or notify a staff member if they will be absent or late, so arrangements can be made for handling their responsibilities.
    3. Ambassadors shall treat all Artspace employees, fellow ambassadors, and community members with respect, courtesy, and dignity.
    4. Ambassadors shall not discriminate and shall be respectful of ethnic, national, gender, and cultural differences.
    5. Ambassadors shall not harass, bully, or mistreat staff, volunteers, or community members.
    6. Ambassadors shall not use vulgar or inappropriate language. 
    7. Ambassadors shall obey all applicable local, state, and federal laws, while acting on behalf of Artspace, including all laws and regulations that govern appropriate conduct in the workplace.
    8. Ambassadors shall deter wrongdoing and ensure accountability for adherence to the Code of Conduct.
    9. Ambassadors shall follow all safety procedures. 
    10. Ambassadors shall complete a criminal background check for roles that involve working with children. Failure to complete these requirements may disqualify an ambassador from serving in a particular role.
    11. Ambassadors shall report violations or suspected violations of the Code of Conduct. Violations should be reported to the Director of Community Engagement
    12. Ambassadors shall seek assistance if they have questions about any volunteer guidelines, including the Code of Conduct. If a staff member or ambassador have any questions or concerns about the code of conduct or wishes to file a formal complaint, they may contact the Director of Community Engagement or President/CEO

    Ambassador Dismissal:                                                                               

    Artspace is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for both staff,  ambassadors, and community members. Ambassadors who do not comply with the Code of Conduct may be subject to disciplinary action, including and up to immediate dismissal.
