ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides exemplary customer service, helping to create the positive experience that attracts both repeat and new donors. Is empowered to accept donations and reject donations.
2. Answers all in-bound calls/emails/texts/direct messages and efficiently schedules donation pickups.
3.Handles all donations with attention and care, securing them properly in carts/gaylords and in trucks.
4.Tracks mileage, pickup (donation) and donor data, and keeps a detailed spreadsheet of information necessary for program growth and continuous feedback.
5.Communicates effectively with Donation Assistant and other Goodwill team members. Directly supervises day-to-day activities and Donation Assistant team member.
6. Assists Warehouse/Transportation Manager and VP of Donated Goods and Marketing with organization, logistics, and execution of Home Pickups, Donation Drives (Workplace & School), and community drives.
7. Meets weekly/monthly with Manager and VP of Donated Goods/Marketing to discuss progress, improvements, donation strategy, and impacts.
8.Works closely with the Marketing Department on donation drives and donation events. Also helps marketing team to recruit and advertise donation pickup opportunities in the community.
9. May assist Retail Store donation centers when needed with donation collection, sorting and/or processing.
10. May assist Warehouse team with baling, sorting, and other activities.
11. Responsible for sorting all inbound donations by quality/category.
12. Must be able to safely operate an automatic transmission box truck and forklift/tow motor. Training will be provided.
13. Inspects vehicle equipment and supplies prior to beginning day's activities and reports any malfunctions of the truck or equipment to supervisor.
14. Must be able to do day & night driving in all types of weather.
15. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. May need to work overtime.
16. Safely loads, unloads and transports materials, merchandise, and equipment.
17. Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., frequently lift up to 100 lbs. and occasionally lift over 100 lbs.
18. Must be able to stoop, squat, bend, pull, or twist as part of routine daily work.
19. Must be cooperative, friendly, and well-groomed at all times. Must always properly wear safety gear and uniforms.
20. Performs other duties as assigned by Warehouse & Transportation Manager or VP of Donated Goods and Marketing.
