Young Voter Registration RFP
  • 2026 Young Voter Registration Project RFP

  • The League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) is pleased to announce the 2026 Young Voter Registration project. As part of this project, LWVEF will award funding to state and local Leagues to undertake voter registration activities at high schools, community colleges, and/or technical and vocational schools. Amounts generally range from $500-$1500 based upon the overall number of applications received, quality of proposals, and estimated number of voters reached. Applications are due by midnight on November 30, 2025, and decisions will be announced in late December. Leagues typically utilize funds to purchase signs and banners, print materials, cover volunteer costs, purchase technology, and hire interns, etc.

Funding will only be considered for Leagues attending at least 5 schools during Winter - Spring (January-June 2026). Leagues must agree to undertake activities in a nonpartisan fashion and must also agree to collect contact information from registrants, as allowable, in order to conduct Get-out-the-Vote follow-up.

Contact Morgan Murray (Mmurray@lwv.org) with any questions.

  • Please review our Get out the Vote: Best Practices Guide for more information. Please note: The collection of contact information and get-out-the-vote follow-up (in compliance with any relevant state law and venue restrictions) are required of any League receiving an LWVEF voter registration grant. If desired, contact Morgan Murray (mmurray@lwv.org) to discuss how your League might successfully meet this requirement.

  • We are looking to expand the scope of this project and number of resources devoted to Leagues that are providing civic education at high schools in addition to their voter registration and engagement work.
