Our greenhouses are full of vibrant plants! Our biggest limitation is our undersized indoor growroom, currently located in our family’s living room. Nearly all the veggies that get planted in our greenhouses and gardens get started indoors under lights in a controlled environment. We are building a new 2000sqft barn on our property that will house an expanded growroom. This project will require about $80,000 to build it out the way we need to, to keep up with the demand of our home delivery and Chef customers. So far, we've built everything with the labor of our family, friends, community, and our awesome staff without taking on any loans or outside investors.
So, how can you get involved and help us?
We thought it would be awesome to kick-start this project with our community instead of getting a bank loan or taking investor money. We are inviting you to join us for an evening with a special tour of our greenhouses and microfarm. This will include 2 free dinners and other goodies. The tours will be paired with tastings of many of the 150+ varieties of leafy greens, rare culinary herbs, edible flowers, and microgreens that we grow. The dinners will be designed as sit-down, 5-star, 5-course meals, featuring locally grown or raised products, prepared by 5 of Dallas' best Chefs!!!
**To be clear, we can offer paid tours of our farm. After the paid tour, food and alcohol are offered free of charge for our new and old friends that attend this tour to enjoy.**
There are four ways you can support our latest expansion:
1. Place your weekly grocery order at www.profoundfoods.com!
2. Join us for the Farm Tour. $200 - includes a free Farm to Table dinner!
Each chef will create a course and most of what will be served will be locally sourced from our farm or one of our farm partners. We'll tour the farm, taste many of our rare culinary herbs, edible flowers, and goodies, then we'll be seated at a long table in the greenhouse for a candlelit dinner. We'll have cocktails, we'll have wine pairings, we'll have after-dinner drinks.
Each dinner features our very own Chef Joel Orsini and local guest chefs for an unforgettable dinner in our greenhouse.

4. Sponsor a Farmer. $150 - If you can't attend the dinner but would like to contribute, you can sponsor a farmer to participate in this experience! With your contribution of $150, we'll invite a local farmer to join in our event. Farming is tough, the perks are few, the hours are insane, and farmers work tirelessly to put food on our tables. This is a great way to say thank you to your local farmers while supporting our little farm.
5. Ok, I know I said there were 4 ways to support us, but there's a fifth. Benefactor. $5,000 - Includes 4 Farm Tours with Complimentary Dinner, 2 tickets to a future Profound Cooking Class, a complimentary keg of Profound Beer for your next party AND you'll also get a private tour for you and 7 friends whenever you'd like to schedule it.
6. Here I go again… Naming Rights to our new growroom! $7500 – At the last big event we did Devil’s River Whiskey purchased the naming rights to our latest greenhouse in an awesome partnership. We'll have a plaque or sign made with your name, or your company’s name, on it at the entrance to the new barn. We'll be forever in your debt. This is a great option for corporate sponsorships, like-minded business owners with similar audiences. We've had over 5000 people tour our farm in the last few years, Chefs and cooks, children's groups, and people interested in sustainable farming. In addition Naming Rights also includes 6 Farm Tours with Complimentary Dinner, 2 tickets to a future Profound Cooking Class, a complimentary keg of Profound Beer for your next party, a private tour for you and 7 friends whenever you'd like to schedule it. Feel free to contact Farm Owner, Jeff Bednar (jeff@profoundfoods.com), if you'd like to discuss this option before purchasing.
We feel #profoundlygrateful that you'd even read down this far... Building our farm has been a community effort since the beginning and we have no intention of slowing down the momentum. We started off 7 years ago this month, having never farmed before. We spent 3 years learning, taking classes, becoming a master gardener and a permaculturist, traveling the country visiting the best farms in our industry. Our farm was literally built by people who believed in our mission and wanted a closer connection with their food. We've never asked anyone for money or taken any loans (other than owner-financing our property from the best people on earth, Gunter and Ute). Our goal is to give you so much value for your money that you'll think it's the best you've ever spent. Come join us on this journey.
