  • Applications for this round of Stunt Grading have closed. Applications for December grading will open on Monday the 15th September, please check back then to submit your application.

  • The Assessment Process

    All applicants must submit a completed (see Assessment Criteria) application and appropriate supporting documentation with evidence of skills and experience to the National Stunt Committee and are subject to their majority decision.

     

    Applicants cannot work in the category sought until the application has been approved by a majority of members on the National Stunt Committee.

     

    Applicants should note that the material presented by you to support your application for grading will form the basis of the decision made by the National Stunt Committee. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that all relevant material is provided.

    Please ensure your application has been prepared inline with the MEAA National Stunt Grading Procedure before continuing.

  • Your Information

  • To obtain a MEAA Grading, stunt performers across the five classifications must be financial members of the MEAA. The only exception to this requirement is for candidates for Stunt Actor Provisional (SAP). Candidates for SAP grading are required to pay a grading application assessment fee of $235. This fee is credited towards MEAA membership fees for successful SAP applicants. MEAA membership fee levels are set out at meaa.org

     

    If you are not a MEAA Member, before being able to proceed you will need to call 1300 656 513 and organise payment of the $235 application fee.

     

    When you have paid the application fee you will be given a member number. Once successfully graded, your application fee will be credited to your MEAA membership fees.

  • To ensure a sucessful application, thoroughly read the MEAA Stunt Grading Procedure, and if required have a member of the National Stunt Grading Committee review your application before uploading.

  • Showreels must be provided in two ways:

    1. a streaming link that is not password protected and
    2. file uploaded in MP4 format 

     

    Applications on USB sticks sent via mail are no longer required.

     

    Showreels should be no longer than 3 mins duration. Broadcast quality is not required, but footage must:

    • Clearly identify the applicant as the person performing the action
    • Nominate each skill category being relied upon
    • Applicants applying for a particular category must include footage that shows competency in the nominated category
    • Showreels should clearly show landings and completed action of the skill being demonstrated 

     

    Showreel File Size

    Please ensure MP4 files uploaded using this form are kept to a size appropriate for ordinary viewing on a smartphone or laptop. Files over 500mb will not be accepted. 720p HD is acceptable and there is no need for greater than 1080p.
