  • Computer Agreement

    In order to take online classes, you must provide your own laptop or desktop computer. Please understand that the online classes CAN NOT be done on a phone. If you have chosen to do online classes, but do not have a computer you will be unable to start online classes until you have a computer and will be asked to start in-person classes. You will need to show proof of a computer or laptop at your orientation. Please sign the below statement agreeing that you have read these terms and conditions. 
  • "I agree that I do in fact have a computer or laptop to do online only classes and will bring it in for my orientation. I understand that I cannot attend the online class on a cell phone. If I do not have a computer at my orientation, I understand that I will need to start in-person classes until I provide proof of a computer for the online classes."

  • Throughout the year we offer additional classes to our enrolled students in:

    Automotive Maintenance & Servicing

    If you love cars, trucks, and other vehicles come learn the basics of vehicle maintenance! Prepare for entry level jobs that can help jump start your career in auto repair. Learn the foundations of any career in the auto industry with OSHA safety guidelines, vehicle service information, and routine maintenance. Along the way, you'll learn: preventative maintenance, servicing belts, hoses, filters, tires, filters, cooling system components, and more!

    Construction

    If you like building and fixing things, come build a bright future in this program! You'll explore a variety of trades and skills used in construction, plus earn 10-hour OSHA safety certification required for jobs in this field and others. Lay the foundation for an exciting career in Construction!

    IT Fundamentals

    If you enjoy working with computers or figuring out how tings work, consider a future in IT. This fast growing field is always hiring technical, network and help desk support, plus programming, security and more! Learn the groundwork to get started and determine which segment of this broad field is right for you!

    Pharmacy Technical

    If you are interested in healthcare and helping people by treating aliments consider a future in the pharmacy! Learn your way around a pharmacy plus prepare to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam which will allow you to work in hospitals, nursing homes and retail pharmacies.

    Phlebotomy

    If you are interested in the medical field and enjoy working closely with people, become a phlebotomist! A phlebotomist is a person trained to draw blood. In this program, you'll gain the skills and knowledge you need to find a job in medical testing, donation centers, or research facilities. Phlebotomists are in demand and the field growing!

    Welding

    If you like working with your hands and with tools (think flame cutters, hand welders, measurement devices) come join us in Welding! Learn one of the most in-demand skilled trades in West Michigan. Work with virtual reality and actual welding equipment as you learn several ARC welding techniques. We'll provide the protective clothing needed for this class.

  • As part of our registration process and during your instruction time in our program, we will be asking you to update your contact information and provide alternative contact information. Once you leave our program, you may be contacted so we can receive valuable feedback from you and any suggestions for improvements. We will also conduct a brief *Follow-Up Survey' to determine if you received a high school diploma or equivalency, enrolled in postsecondary education or training, and/or obtained a job. When you are contacted, the survey will only take a few minutes of your time and your answers are confidential but extremely important. Our program will only use your contact information for this Follow-Up Survey.

    Your registration information, such as Social Security number, will be used to research and evaluate the effectiveness of Adult Education programs through data sharing with other State of Michigan data systems, including high school equivalency testing, postsecondary enrollment, and employment.

    Please note, the State of Michigan does not report individual performance results. Performance results for Adult Education programs are aggregated totals.
