About Dream$avers

For every $1 you save, Dream$avers can provide an additional $5 in match funds. You can save up to $1,800 in your Dream$avers account and receive up to $9,000 in match funds for a total of up to $10,800 towards an eligible savings goal.

You must choose one of these eligible savings goals: Education, Home Purchase, Home Repair, Small Business, Vehicle, and Assistive Technology. While saving, you will work with an assigned IDA coach to complete a financial counseling appointment and financial education requirements. You can spend between 3 months and 3 years in the program. Once you reach your savings goal, you are allowed 6 months to spend.

Prior to enrolling in Dream$avers, you must enter the lottery, get selected in a lottery drawing, attend an orientation, submit an application, and get approved based on our eligibility requirements. You can learn more about Dream$avers on the NWU website.

About the Lottery

By entering the lottery, you have a chance to be chosen randomly.

Lottery drawings will be scheduled as funding allows. All entries received in 2026 will be considered in all lottery drawings that may occur in 2026. The most recent lottery drawing was in August 2026.

If you are chosen, you will be notified by your preferred contact method and provided instructions for applying to Dream$avers. If you are not chosen, you will be notified by email after each lottery drawing.

You only need to submit your name in the lottery once a year. We reset the lottery once a year in January. We will send an email to you after the reset has been completed reminding you to enter again for the new year. Please only enter yourself into the lottery once a year. Any additional submissions will be removed.
