  • HOCKEY VICTORIA PARTICIPATION OFFICER - 2023

  • Hockey Victoria is looking for Participation Officers in a casual fixed-term position from January 1 - December 31st 2023 to help grow Hockey across Victoria.

    We have many programs running throughout the year in which you can be a part of.

  • In order to work in schools all applicants over the age of 18 will be required to have a current Victorian Working with Children's Check (WWCC-E), the E stands for an Employee level check, please ensure you obtain this. Please upload both a front and back photo/scan of your WWCC or VIT card below.

    In order to be an Participation Officer you must hold a WWCC-E or be willing to obtain one. You do not require one in order to complete your application

  • Coaching Experience

  • You do not need to be an accredited coach in order to become a Participation Officer. Being able to interact with children and having a fun, engaging and open personality is the key to being a successful Participation Officer.

    If you do possess a hockey coaching accreditation it is beneficial.

    Please detail your current Hockey Australia (HockeyEd) accreditation and previous coaching experience below.

  • Uniform & Equipment

  • Hockey Victoria will provide Participation Officers with a polo shirt to wear for all programs. Please indicate your preferred Polo shirt size below.

  • Hockey Victoria will require Participation Officers to transport equipment kits to programs. Officers will be responsible for maintaining the equipment and monitoring anything that gets lost or damaged.

    Equipment Kits will contain:

    36 sticks
    36 modified hockey balls
    30 cones

  • Availability

  • Please provide an indicative guide to your availability during the below timeframe, which will be the 2023 Roadshow period. There are three (3) main Roadshow weeks, plus an additional two (2) weeks.

    As the large majority of work is in primary schools, the expectation is that you are available between 8:45 - 3:30 on the days you select.

    We will also have additional Roadshows outside this period, during other times in 2023.

    We understand that your availability may change between now and February which is why we are only asking for an indicative guide at this stage
