  • GROUP STUDIO TANS 

    • Get your glow together! Perfect for bridal parties, bachelorette parties, birthdays, group vacations, or a fun night with friends! For groups of 2–4 guests (4 maximum) in my in-home studio near Uptown Ankeny. Each guest receives a customized spray tan with personalized care, prep and aftercare instructions. A separate tanning area provides privacy while others relax and chat. Bring food, snacks, or drinks to enjoy together. Water is provided!
    • Please text or email a list of names for everyone in your group after you have booked the appointment.
    • New Clients: All first-time clients must complete the New Client Form before their appointment and include their group organizer's name as how they heard of Spray Tans By Megan. 
    • Group Booking & Payment: Payment is collected at the appointment. Guests may pay separately after each tan or together at the end. The organizer is responsible for all reserved guests. If a guest cancels with less than 24 hours' notice or doesn't show up, the applicable fee will be charged to the organizer's card on file. All changes require at least 24 hours' notice to avoid fees.

  • SPRAY TANS BY MEGAN POLICY:

    • You mush be properly prepped for your appointment. Come with clean skin, without deodorant, lotion, makeup, perfume, or sweat.  
    • It is required for male clients (or clients with male genitalia) to wear underwear. 
    • It is required for any client under the age of 18 to wear underwear and a parent or guardian must be present at all times. 
    • Follow all instructions given during the appointment. 
    • Be advised there is a small percentage of people whose skin may not react favorably to spray tanning. You must make known any allergies or substance sensitivities you may have before the spray tan process. For this reason, it is not advised being sprayed for the first time before an important event.
    • The results of spray tanning vary and the results are not guaranteed.
    • Any and all services given are non-refundable and non-trasferrable. 
    • Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths reserves the right to refuse services for any reason before and during the appointment.
    • Caution - Pregnant or nursing women should consult their physician before getting a spray tan. It is not recommended to spray tan during your first trimester.
    • Warning - The products used during your appointment do not contain a sunscreen and do not protect against sunburns. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin to U.V. Light may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.
    • The spray tanning solution contains an active ingredient: DHA (Dihydroxyacetone). DHA has been FDA approved for external application only. When using DHA-containing products as an all-over spray or mist, it may be difficult to avoid exposure in a manner for which DHA is not approved, including the area of the eyes,lips, mucous membrane, or internally. Therefore, it is recommended that you take protective measures to eliminate eye contact, inhalation or during ingestionyour spray tan session, such as: a. Using protective eyewear b. Wearing nose filters c. Sealing lips with lip balm d. Using protective undergarments.

    Acknowledgement:

    1. I hereby give my consent to allow Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths to apply all spray tanning products and related products. 
    2. To my knowledge, I have no medical condition or allergy which would preclude me from having this procedure done. I agree to hold harmless Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths of any medical complications that may arise and I have been advised to discontinue use if any reaction occurs.
    3. I hereby release Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths and hold her harmless from any liability involved during or after the spray tanning process including during the spray tan developing stage. I accept sole responsibility if I have a reaction to any products. Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths will not be held responsible for damaged personal items or property during or after the spray tanning process.
    4. I will provide a safe and respectful working environment for the spray tan artist.
    5. I will provide a valid credit card to be held on file and charged in case of failed payment, cancellations/rescheduling fees, no show fees, and future payments.
    6. I understand payment is due at the appointment and will make sure payment is given.
    7. I understand that by signing this waiver and receiving services from Spray Tans By Megan, I am acknowledging that I authorized and received the services provided and am responsible for payment. If I initiate a chargeback or payment dispute after services have been rendered by falsely claiming that the charge was unauthorized, that the services were not received, or otherwise disputing a valid charge without legitimate cause, Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths reserves the right to pursue the unpaid balance and any remedies available under applicable law, including reporting suspected fraud or theft of services to the appropriate authorities.
    8. I give Spray Tans By Megan/Megan Griffiths permission to use any and all photos taken and given by me for marketing and educational purposes.
    9. I have been honest and accurate about the information that I have provided on this waiver.
    10. I have read and completely understand Spray Tans By Megan's policy.

  • CANCELLATION AND DAMAGES POLICY

    *CANCELLATION/CHANGES: Any cancellations or changes to the time of your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time will result in a CANCELLATION FEE of 50% of service booked charged to the card on file. 

    *NO SHOW/LATE: There is a 5 minute grace period. If you NO SHOW or LATE more than 5 mintues of the appointment time, it will result in an immediate cancellation of your appointment and the card on file will be CHARGED FOR THE FULL APPOINTMENT BOOKED.

    *DAMAGES: Clients are responsible for any damage they or their accompanying guests cause to Spray Tans By Megan's property, including studio equipment, furnishings, supplies, and the home or premises. If damage occurs, the responsible client will be required to pay the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing the damaged property. Replacement charges will be based on the cost of an equivalent item. For group appointments, the person booking the reservation is responsible for damage caused by any member of their group. Applicable repair or replacement costs may be charged to the card on file, subject to the payment authorization provided in this waiver.

    **Any Cancellation/Rescheduling Fees, No Show Fees, or Incidental Fees are non-refundable and non-tranferrable.

  • STUDIO INSTRUCTIONS--Please wait outside until you will receive a "STUDIO IS READY" text. Then you can come to the side door right off the driveway and RING THE DOORBELL. I cannot hear when someone knocks. For safety and liability reasons, all clients and any persons accompanying the client must stay in the studio space.*
  • I have a small dog in my home. She will be present at the appointment. She (Lolli) is very sweet and trained to be around clients. If you are not comfortable with dogs, she will be kept in a separate area for the duration of your appointment. Please specify below. You are welcome to contact me with any concerns.*

  • SUNBURNS-Spray tanning solution is a stain. The solution may take darker, lighter, or not take at all in the areas of damaged skin due to a current sunburn.

  • COVID-19 WAIVER

    I understand that there are potential health risks related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and that involvement in a mobile spray tan session may increase these risks.

    As participation of the services provided by Megan Griffiths are a voluntary action on my part, I hereby release Megan Griffiths from any legal repercussions or actions if I develop symptoms of COVID-19 illness or result in a positive test for COVID-19. 

  • Have you currently or in the past 10 days shown any symptoms of COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms, tested positive for COVID-19, or come into contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19?*
  • I understand if I develop symptoms of COVID-19, test positive for COVID-19 after my spray tan appointment, or made aware after my appointment that I had come in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of my appointment that I will notify Megan Griffiths immediately of possible exposure.*

  • I UNDERSTAND THAT HOW LONG MY SPRAY TAN LASTS AND HOW IT FADES IS ENTIRELY DEPENDENT UPON MY SKIN, HOW I PREP, AND HOW I TAKE CARE OF IT.*
