• City of Edmonton Youth Council Application Form 2012

    Thank you for your interest in the City of Edmonton Youth Council! We are assembling a diverse group of young people who can:

    1. share their unique perspectives, experiences and knowledge about life and living in Edmonton
    2. work together toward the improvement of youth opportunities and experiences from a policy and advocacy level

    It is important that you read through and understand what is stated and requested in this Application Form, experience is NOT required to apply.

    Freedom Of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Statement.This personal information is being collected under the authority of Section 33(c) of the FOIP Act and will be used by the City of Edmonton to determine whether the applicant is suitable and qualified for appointment on the City of Edmonton Youth Council (CEYC). Your personal information will also be used for administrative purposes of the program. All information collected by the City of Edmonton is protected by the provisions of the FOIP Act.   • The Youth Council involves:

    1. commitment for a one-year term (November to October)
    2. regular attendance to General Assembly meetings held monthly on the second Wednesday
    3. selecting additional volunteer opportunities with the Youth Council that are well-suited to your interests and/or abilities, e.g. joining a subcommittee or working group
    4. Running for the Executive
    5. representing a youth perspective on a civic board or other opportunities that arise
    6. access to email at least once a week in order to stay informed of news and opportunities.
