- It is the employee’s own responsibility to obtain a smartphone, airtime, and data in order to communicate within the company
- Within two weeks after the employee has received the first allowance of R180 for official use, s/he will be in possession of a working smartphone, a WhatsApp account, and an email address
- Within two weeks after the employee has received the first allowance of R180, s/he will supply the company with contact details, including an email address, WhatsApp number, and contact number
- The employee will always be reachable during working hours on the supplied contact details. Should the company not be able to reach the employee during working hours without reasonable cause, disciplinary actions may be taken against the employee
- Should the employee’s contact details change for whatever reason, the employer is to be informed with immediate effect of the new details
- It is the employee’s own responsibility to ensure that s/he are able to access the company applications (current and future applications) on their cell phone. This includes applications like TMS, Staff Portal, tombstone catalogues, ERS Biometrics, etc.
- This allowance will replace any current cell phone and data benefit that the employee has within the company
- The safekeeping and security of the cell phone is the employee’s own responsibility and therefore, if any losses and/or damages occur to the cell phone, the employer will not be liable for any claims.
- Certain positions may require more usage of cell phone airtime or data and must be arranged with management within a reasonable time.
- You are NOT allowed to enter another employee's email address. The email address entered should belong to you alone.
Should any of the above rules not be followed, your allowance will be terminated with immediate effect, and you will be placed at the bottom of the list in order to qualify for the allowance again.
