COURTESY POSTING: Dog is privately owned and this posting is a courtesy posting for the owner.~~~~~~~~~*Deaf Dog* - Moby is a 4 year old male Australian Shepherd with gorgeously crystal blue eyes and he is completely deaf. Any adopter that has experience with deaf dogs will be considered first, then open to other applications on a foster/to/adopt basis. Moby is still working on holding his pee throughout the night. He is currently in a home with two young girls and a female and he will adapt well to another family, possibly a little hesitant at first and fearful, as he needs to warm up to the situation. He needs to be neutered and that would be a requirement of adopting Moby. He would love a fenced in yard. Apartment living is not out of the question as long as walks are frequent and long. Australian Shepherds need space to be themselves and run. They are energetic and smart. Please keep that in mind. Moby is fearful and can take a while to warm up to people. He is a herding dog, and his nipping is instinctual - so adopters need to let Moby warm up to them. He needs confidence and a home where he can really become his own self. Slight growling might be an issue with new people - he needs a patient owner.A meet-n-greet will be arranged after application approval. A $75 Adoption fee will be collected or arranged to a local non-profit dog rescue of your choosing if you choose to adopt Moby.**This is a courtesy posting from Cincinnati Senior Dog Sanctuary and Moby is not part of our rescue. A home visit may be required. A collection of $75 will be donated to one of two local no-kill shelters. Have you read this section completely?

Adoption Fee will be a $75 donation to an approved Cincinnati no-kill dog shelter.
We only adopt to the Cincinnati area. This is because we do home checks to make sure the conditions agreed upon in our adoption agreement are met. We love all of our rescues and have poured our hearts into keeping them safe. We do not discriminate against gender or race but we look for the best home for our dogs. We look for fenced in yards or secure leash walking areas. All of our adopted dogs have successfully lived wonderful lives after adoption because we make sure they go to the best home for the them, not us.
This is a courtesy posting for Moby. Please fill out this form and the canine behaviorist will send the information to the current owners for review.
