Calling all domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, animal shelters, and all other representatives interested in supporting people and pets in crisis!
Join us to explore ways to create and sustain pet housing programs for survivors of domestic violence and people experiencing homelessness. We'll provide you with tips and tools for creating successful and sustainable programs and you'll hear from local experts (and from "pros" around the country) on why and how they created their programs.
What we'll cover:
Understanding the importance of the "Link" and human-animal bond
The importance of collaboration within your community
Determining which housing plan best fits your shelter/organization
Key policies and procedures to develop with your partner organizations
Tips for fundraising including how how to apply for grants from RedRover and Rescue Rebuild
