HEIDI'S FURRY FRIEND RESCUE ADOPTION APPLICATION
Welcome and thank you for visiting! Please note, completion of this application does not guarantee adoption of a rescue cat. The answers provided will determine eligibility for adoption and work towards finding the best feline friend fit. My name is Heidi McCarty and I have been rescuing cats/kittens my entire life. I am a mother of 3 with a fulltime job in healthcare. When I am not working, I am dedicating my life to my children and the animals in my care. I put all my time, money and effort into saving these precious lives, so it is and absolute priority to make sure they go to the most fit, loving forever home. Having a pet is a lifelong commitment so please make sure you are fully ready before filling out an application. WE ARE NOW A 501(c)3 NON PROFIT! Due to the rise in cost of supplies, and changes in vet prices, my adoption fee has changed. Please read below : Kittens and cats up to 1 year old are $125 and cats 1 year and older are $75.00. NO ANIMALS LEAVE WITHOUT BEING SPAYED/NEUTERED AND ATLEAST STARTED ON VACCINES. All cats and dogs who come through our rescue will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed prior to adoption. All cats must be Atleast 12-14 weeks old to be spayed or neutered at our vet, so that is the earliest they can leave. No one leaves without being fixed, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you’d like to hold a cat or kitten until they are fixed and ready to go, a deposit of $75 dollars is required . At time of adoption you will leave with a folder which will contain your adoption contract that you’ll sign at pick up , and any and all records of that cat while it’s been in my care . I also keep my records, so if you ever need anything, or lose anything, please reach out. In the event that you would need to rehome the cat or need to house the cat until you get to a place you can have it again, it needs to be returned to me or one of my fosters unless approved to who your wanting to rehome it to. Just because you think it’s a good home, doesn’t mean I will. If some kind of test was not done that you wanted done, your signing that your adopting the cat under those circumstances and are okay with it. Of course you must keep adequate food, water and shelter for your cat at all times. Cats are to be kept strictly indoors, unless it was agreed upon otherwise (cat who was already and established indoor outdoor cat and won’t stay in) or unless a barn cat given to you for that purpose (usually ferals). No cat is to EVER be declawed . NEVER. Your signing that you agree to never declaw your pet. You will fill out an adoption application online first to see if your approved. Please call ahead and give your vet permission to speak with me as I will be calling for references. You then will sign a paper contract upon arrival to pick up your cat. Adoption fee is due at time of pickup and can be paid several ways . Please know that cats are not robots, and can take up to 30 days or longer to completely adjust. If your not willing to commit to make it work, please don’t adopt. Cats don’t like change just like us, they get stressed and need to feel things out and get used to their new environment and house mates. By submitting this application I hereby certify that the information hereunder is correct to the best of my knowledge and understand that falsification of this information is grounds for dismissal as a potential adoptee.
