To be eligible for this programme you must have the equivalent of a Swedish Bachelor's degree. At least 120 ECTS credits of the Bachelor's degree must be in natural sciences (two years of full-time studies), biomedicine or technology, of which 45 ECTS credits in cell and molecular biology, including genetics and microbiology, 7.5 ECTS credits in physiology, and 30 ECTS credits in chemistry, including biochemistry.

To help us in our assessment of your eligibility we ask that you please highlight your most relevant courses for the programme in question.

For each course, provide the course title and the course size as indicated on your official transcript. Do not convert credits or other workload measures.

    Only include courses that:

    • are directly relevant to the stated subject (see heading below) - listing more courses is not necessarily better!

  • Motivation letter

Purpose: selection criteria that counts to 1/6 of your merit rating. Assessed based on how well you answer the question and how clearly you express yourself.
  • Your motivation letter is your opportunity to show us why you are applying to this particular programme.

Since the word count is limited, make every word count. Aim to be:

    • Concise – avoid unnecessary words.
    • Specific – refer to courses, research areas or skills that connect to your background.
    • Concrete – illustrate your motivation with clear examples.

    For instance:

    • Vague: “I think the programme perfectly matches my interests.”
    • Concrete: “I am particularly interested in anthropogenic effects on marine ecosystems, and the course Management of Aquatic Resources in the Tropics would allow me to…”

By being clear and specific, you will help us understand your motivation and make the most of the limited space available.

    Note on Academic Integrity

To ensure a fair and meaningful evaluation process, all submissions must represent your own original work. The use of AI-generated content or similar automated tools undermines the integrity of the admissions process and does not accurately reflect your abilities or engagement. Upholding academic honesty is a core value of our institution, and we expect all applicants to demonstrate genuine personal commitment in their applications.

We look forward to reading your ideas and learning about your aspirations.
