For Community Events, city garage personnel will place barricades upon the right of way at closing location(s). The event Organization is responsible for placing the barricades across the street or alley being closed and for removal after the event. The barricades should be placed back upon the right of way for City pickup.
You may pick up the barricades at the City Garage, 555 W Franklin St., Monday-Friday. Pickup is suggested the day before the street or alley closing between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. If the barricades are promptly returned to the City Garage, there is no charge. If the barricades are not returned promptly, you will be responsible for replacement costs.
The Police and Fire Departments will be notified via a copy of this application as to the street or alley closing in case of emergencies in the area.
