  • Fostering for Foster2Forever

Our goal is to foster animals and provide them an alternative, loving environment until they are able to find forever homes. Fostering is the most important part of our rescue because we are limited to the number of animals we can save due to the number of foster homes available. We are more than willing to work with anyone interested in fostering or adopting to find the perfect addition for their family. Foster2Forever intakes both puppies and kittens primarily two years of age and under. However, due to having so many pups placed in foster homes, we do require kitten fosters to have either no current pups in the home or pups who are cat friendly.
  • By sending this electronically, I acknowledge that I have completely read this questionnaire and comprehend it fully. I understand that applying does not ensure approval and that untruthful answers or failure to comply with the requirements of this application can result in the forfeiture of any Foster2Forever animal fostered by me.

I certify that the above information is correct, and I understand that the information will be verified. I understand that by submitting this form electronically, I agree to release and covenant to hold harmless Foster2Forever and it's members from any claims, damages, costs, or actions incurred because of the care or actions of the foster animal. If the foster individual provides medical care without prior authorization from Foster2Forever, they will incur the charges. I accept full responsibility for the animal's actions at all times, and release Foster2Forever from any liabilities or damages that may be incurred because of fostering such animals. I agree to have Foster2Forever complete reference call checks and conduct a home visit inspection to be able to approve my foster application. I agree that if Foster2Forever views my house or anyone in my residence as an unfit foster parent I will return the animal safely to any the board members of the rescue upon request.

By participating as a foster with Foster2Forever, I agree to provide a minimum of two (2) weeks notice (written if requested) if I choose to no longer foster. Additionally, this foster agreement serves as a non-disclosure statement, whereby I agree not to make any negative, disparaging, or harmful comments about Foster2Forever, its practices, volunteers, or the organization itself—whether online, via text messages, social media, or any other communication channels—regardless of my reasons for ending my foster relationship. I understand that such non-disparagement is essential to protect the organization’s reputation and that violations may result in legal consequences.

Foster2Forever does not oppose foster families adopting foster animals ("fosterlings"). However, allowing foster families to adopt out their fosters enables them to facilitate the placement of another animal in need by helping the fosterling find a permanent, loving home. Our foster families frequently express that, although parting with a fosterling is emotionally challenging, the fulfillment of seeing that animal adopted into a forever home makes it worthwhile, knowing they will live happily ever after.

If a foster family determines they are particularly attached to a fosterling and wishes to adopt, the following procedures apply: the decision to adopt must be made within two (2) weeks of the animal’s arrival into the foster home or within the period during which the animal is posted publicly for adoption, whichever is sooner. Once the animal is available for adoption, and an interested party is identified, that party will have the first right to adopt. Foster families are advised that, upon the animal being listed for adoption, we can no longer guarantee that the animal will be adopted by the foster family.

All adopters, including foster families, are required to pay the applicable adoption fee.

In the case of fostering multiple animals or when interested adopters wish to adopt littermates, it is important to note that Foster2Forever’s policies prohibit the adoption of littermates into the same household. This policy is mandated by our bylaws and is implemented solely for the safety and well-being of the animals, specifically to prevent littermate syndrome. This policy is non-negotiable.

If a foster family chooses to adopt one of the littermates and no longer wishes to continue fostering the remaining animals, Foster2Forever will assist in finding a new foster family for the remaining animals.

All foster families agree to provide photographs of the foster animal(s) upon request for marketing purposes and to comply with any additional instructions or requests from our board members, including but not limited to medical care schedules, updates, or other relevant information. Compliance with these requirements is mandatory for continued participation as a foster family within our organization.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all foster families who have opened their hearts and homes to animals in our care. Your support is deeply appreciated!
