Player and Parent Commitment Letter
  • Player and Parent Commitment Letter

  • The signed acknowledgement of this commitment letter is an agreement between the player and Hoop Force Basketball while they are playing for the organization.  Players can participate with other organizations or recreational basketball leagues so long as Hoop Force Basketball is fully aware and both coaches/staff are in agreement of both commitments.  Hoop Force Basketball games/tournaments are a priority to the organization, and we must be informed if games will be missed or if there is a conflict in the schedules.  If the organization is not made aware of another team participation upfront, that will be considered a violation that will be reviewed by the organization.

    Player/Parent Expectations

    • Players and Parents are to respect one another, the game, coaches, opponents and officials.  If they are in violation, disciplinary actions will be taken and players could lose playing time, be suspended or dismissed from the team. (Refer to Sports Conduct page)
    • Players are expected to be at practice on time unless there is a conflict with other events (sick, school teams, homework, etc.).  Please advise the coaches if the player will be late or absent.
    • Players are expected to be at games at least 20 minutes prior to game time for warm-ups. Failure to do so can result in loss of playing time.
    • If a player loses their uniform, shooting shirt or bag there will be a fee to replace those items. (contact Monique Clardy)
    • Each coach will have their own set of expectations and they will enforce them at their own accord.

    Anti-Bullying/Harassment Policy

We are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our players and staff so they can participate in activities in a relaxed and secure atmosphere.   Bullying of any kind is unacceptable within the Hoop Force Basketball organization.  If bullying does occur, all incidents will be handled promptly and effectively which could result in being suspended or dismissed from the organization.

Player, Coach and Team Overnight Travel Guidelines

The intention of these guidelines is to ensure that Hoop Force Basketball players and coaches have a consistent and fair code of conduct for all travel situations. These guidelines are intended to provide clear communication to all players, coaches and staff as to the acceptable behavior while traveling with the team.

    • It is strongly recommended that all team members, including coaches, stay at the same hotel for the duration of the out of town/state travel.
    • All players shall have a defined curfew established by the coach that is equal to or earlier than the hotel curfew.
    • All players and coaches shall act in a professional and courteous manner while at the hotel, restaurant or in any place where the team is represented.
    • It is strongly recommended that each player have at least (1) parent or guardian accompany them on all traveling events unless other arrangements have been made.

Playing time will be earned during practice, continued improvement of basketball fundamental techniques, player’s attitude/commitments, and at the discretion of the coaching staff per individual player.
