The Jeffery Isaiah David Memorial Foundation Education Scholarship was established to honor the memory of PFC Jeffery Isaiah David who on February 22, 2021, closed his eyes on earth and opened them in heaven. Jeffery was just 23 years old and was a son, brother, mentor, father, and soldier in the United States Army who reached many personal accomplishments and left a great impact on the lives of many he crossed paths throughout his life, everywhere he went, and especially in our community.
Each year the foundation will award scholarships to graduating high school seniors and those already enrolled, seeking to continue their higher educational goals. Consideration will be given to single parents or those seeking to further their athletic pursuits. The scholarships will be given to assist with the costs of attending the college, vocational, or trade school of their choice.
To be considered for the scholarship applicants must be high school seniors graduating with a goal of attending an accredited college, university, vocational, or trade school, or a continuing college student working toward obtaining an Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s level degree. Awarding of the Jeffery Isaiah David Memorial Foundation Scholarship is contingent on the following:
( ) Completed Application.
( ) Official High School transcript - showing a GPA of at least 2.5.
( ) High school students - submit acceptance letter into a two or four-year college.
( ) Continuing students - submit current college transcript.
( ) Answer ONE of the questions in the fillable application (400-500 words) or upload a 3-5 minute video on one of the questions below.
( ) Two letters of recommendation.
