PLEASE READ:

It is important for Club Members and Spectators to understand that no PPE (personal protectitve equipment) or other protective measures can provide 100% protection from infection with, or transmission of, COVID-19.

The awarding organisation (RLSS UK and IQL UK) have provided guidance to the training provider to mitigate risk so far as reasonably practicable, there will still be an element of risk involved in attending a Club training session.

Club Members must follow the Trainer / Assessor’s instruction at all time. If at any point the Trainer / Assessor has any concerns then they may stop the activity and training.

COVID-19 Checklist - it is important that candidates attending Club training session do not increase the risk of a spread of COVID-19.

Please complete the below checklist by reading each statement and confirming if you agree.*

We do not have / will not attend if we have a high temperature (You feel hot to touch on your chest or back - you do not need to measure your temperature)
We do not have / will not attend if we have a new, continuous cough (Coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours)
We do not have / will not attend if we have loss or change to my sense of smell or taste (You cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal)
We will not attend if we are having to self-isolate due to coming into contact with someone with COVID-19 symptoms
We will not attend if someone from my household has COVID-19 symptoms or is having to self-isolate

I understand that there are levels of risk of contracting COVID-19 by attending this training course / assessment.

Hastings Voluntary Lifeguards is trying to safeguard all of its Members whilst undertaking any of our Club activities/events.

This declaration confirms that you understand that you will not attend Club activities/events if you or anyone in your immediate family are suffering from any signs and symptoms of any contagious diseases or virus - for example, this includes COVID-19, Norovirus, flu etc.
