Background: NetworkNature is a resource for the nature-based solutions community that is creating opportunities for local, regional and international cooperation to maximise the impact and spread of nature-based solutions (NBS). The project is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme.
NetworkNature has recently started its second topical semester focusing on the theme of ‘Nature-based Solutions for Ecosystem Restoration’, during which NetworkNature aims to share knowledge and experiences of ecosystem restoration by bringing together stakeholders from the different target audiences from across the globe.
Given its objective of synthesising and strengthening the NBS evidence, NetworkNature has opened a call for submission of ecosystem restoration case-studies to gather experiences and knowledge arising from practice. We are interested to learn more about the objectives, context, actions carried out, societal challenges tackled, and the arising benefits to communities. We plan to compile the case-studies in a report that will be shared with our wider community of NBS projects and stakeholders having an interest in improving the uptake of ecosystem restoration across the globe.
