DUBLIN ROYALS ADVENTURER CLUB MEMBERSHIP FORM

Requirements for Club Membership:

1. The Adventurer must be at least 6 and no more than 9 years of age.

2. The Adventurer must agree to participate in regular Club meetings and activities which include, Camporees, outings and fund-raising events.

3. The Adventurer must agree to be regularly attend all Club meetings and activities organised by the Club. 

4. The Adventurer must pay club fees. Details given separately.

5.The Adventurer should own and regularly wear a complete Adventurer dress uniform and club field uniform, where applicable. 

6. The Adventurer is expected to obey all regulations, instructions and orders from the Adventurer staff.

The Adventurer Pledge

Because Jesus loves me, I can always do my best.

The Adventurer Law is for me to:

• Be obedient
• Be pure
• Be true
• Be kind
• Be respectful
• Be attentive
• Be helpful
• Be cheerful
• Be thoughtful
• Be reverent

Agreement by Adventurer: I would like to join the Dublin Royals Adventurer Club. I will attend regular Club meetings and activities and agree to be guided by Rules for Club Membership, the Adventurer Pledge and the Adventurer Law.

Agreement

By submitting a Dublin Royals Club Membership Application Form I agree to each of the following points.

i. I have read the Requirements for Club Membership, the Adventurer Pledge and the Adventurer Law. I am willing and desirous that the applicant become an Adventurer. I will assist the Adventurer in observing the rules of the Adventurer Club and are willing to co-operate with the regulations and activities of the Club.

ii. In consideration of the benefits derived from membership, I hereby voluntarily waive any claim against the Dublin Royals Adventurer Club and the Irish Mission of Seventh-day Adventists of any accidents which may arise in connection with the regular Club meetings and activities of the Adventurer Club.

iii. I understand that the Adventurer Club programme is an active one for the applicant. It includes many opportunities for service, adventure and fun. I will cooperate:

a. By learning how we can assist the applicant and his leaders
b. By encouraging the applicant to take an active part in all activities
c. By attending events to which parents are invited
d. By assisting Club leaders and by serving as leaders if called upon.

iv. By submitting this form to the Dublin Royals Club, I hereby give permission for the Adventurer (applicant) to become a member of the Dublin Royals Adventurer Club.

v. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I agree to the following person being contacted if I cannot be contacted:

vi. I understand that now and again pictures or video may to be taken of Club meetings and activities, and consent to the use of such, that may contain my son/daughter, in video, on the web or in printed publication, by the Irish Mission of Seventh-day Adventists.

The Data Protection Act 1988 and the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003 safeguard the privacy rights of individuals in relation to their personal data. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has put in place procedures that ensure compliance with the Data Protection Acts.

vii. I consent to the Seventh-day Adventist Church holding, processing and retaining the personal data given on this Membership Application Form for as long as it remains relevant, for the purpose of church events, activities and services, including the Adventurer & Pathfinder Clubs.
