Community Service Bars are earned by making a difference in the community and practicing the values of the Girl Scout Law. It is also a way for girls to get involved with a cause they care about.
To earn a Community Service bar, first choose an organization you'd like to volunteer with. The organization will need to agree to give you instructions about the work you'll be doing. Once you've chosen your organization, complete at least 20 hours of service to earn the bar.
Approved Organizations:
- American Red Cross
- Local libraries
- Hospitals
- Town recreation programs
- Churches
- Animal shelters
- YMCA’s
- Museums
If you'd like to volunteer for an organization that isn't listed, please check with council beforehand.
After you have completed your 20 hours, please fill out the Service Time Log form and upload it below. (Download button can be found in the top right corner)
