  • Submissions from this page are not manually reviewed by staff before receiving items, if you have an enquiry prior to lodging your device for inspection please email repairs@ferntech.co.nz.

    Please note there is a minimum $65 inspection fee (+shipping if applicable) for all outside of warranty repairs.

    If your craft is water damaged please contact repairs@ferntech.co.nz or call during office hours on 09 216 5386 before submitting this request form.

    If you are sending a drone for repair, please ensure that you include your remote control.

    Please do not include accessories that aren’t required to assess the fault (e.g. memory cards,batteries, filters or chargers etc)

  • Billing address is not required - Invoices are issued to Shared Services on completion.

  • For claiming warranty or DOA for a craft that has crashed, a flight log analysis (FLA) needs to be completed.

    We will submit the request on your behalf to DJI who will investigate the flight records to determine if the crash was caused

  • If your craft has flown away and is not recoverable, you can report the aircraft as lost through your RC or mobile device, following these instructions - Producing a Flyaway Aircraft Report

    You will also need to register a Flyaway case with DJI here - Fill in the Flyaway Application

    Your flight logs will be assessed and if the incident is determined to be a manufacturing fault within the warranty period, a free replacement will be shipped directly to you.

    If outside of warranty or non manufacturing fault and you have a valid Care Refresh plan, you will need to pay the relevant Care Refresh replacement fee to DJI before a replacement craft can be shipped.

    Ferntech do not require a case submission for any lost aircraft.

  • 1. A minimum service/inspection fee of $65.00 applies to all non-warranty cases which include: incorrect or mismatched firmware, physical damage caused by misuse, configuration issues, incorrect installation of parts, etc.

    2. Please do not include accessories that aren’t required to assess the fault (e.g. memory cards, filters or chargers).

    3. If Ferntech NZ Ltd are returning your craft by courier, there will be a fixed courier fee of $20.00.

    4. Please note that we are unable to accept responsibility for any accessories supplied in addition to aircraft, battery and remote control.

    5. Customised settings may be reset during the repair process.

    6. Ferntech NZ Ltd takes no responsibility for SD cards and data sent to us.

    7. In some instances, the craft may be sent to DJI if the repair cannot be completed in house. 

    8. Faulty parts that have been replaced will not be returned to the customer.

    9. Customers must test repaired devices once returned. Any issues must be lodged within 14 days.

    10. Ferntech NZ Ltd reserves the right to dispose of, or on-sell items to defray costs should service costs be unpaid for a period greater than three months without resolution.

    11. It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance cover for your device while it is in our possession.
