  • Use this form to change your schedule after initial registration through the close of the Add/Drop period.

    Students must review current course registrations via the Student Portal.

    REMINDERS & INSTRUCTIONS

    • If you are not sure how many units your funding will cover, consult with Financial Aid (FinancialAid@uwest.edu) prior to finalizing your schedule.
    • The refund policy, including pro-rated refunds, is explained in the Academic Catalog.
    • If you are only adding or only dropping courses, please mark boxes in the unused sections as "N/A" or enter "Not Applicable" 
    • Do not use this form to drop classes after the Add/Drop deadline. After the deadline above, submit a course withdrawal form if dropping some, but not all, scheduled classes.
    • If dropping all scheduled classes, submit a Break in Enrollment form in place of this form.

    ENROLLMENT OPTIONS

    • For Credit = Graded
    • Audit = student does no coursework and therefore course does not apply to graduation; must be preapproved.

    Use Grade Change form to request optional P/NP grading. Advisor approval needed. Not applicable to all classes or programs.

    ADD/DROP DEADLINES

    • Fall/Spring Semesters:  5 pm, Friday of Week 2
    • Summer Session I:      5 pm, Friday of Week 1

  • To stay in status, you must enroll full time every fall and spring semester.

    • Undergraduate: 12 units per term
    • Graduate: 9 units per term
    • IEP: 20 hours per week

    Summer Sessions are optional. You must schedule at least 6 units (degree) or 20 hours (IEP) if you choose to start a program during the summer session. Otherwise, part time enrollment is allowed if you decide to take classes during the summer.

    REDUCED ENROLLMENT: Consult with the International Student Advisor before scheduling fewer units than full time. If approved, submit an F-1 Reduced Enrollment form with your registration. This requirement applies to all F-1 studnets, including  graduate students who have completed coursework and are maintaining continuous enrollment.  EXCEPTION: Doctoral students who  have formally advanced to candidacy do not need to submit the reduced enrollment form.

  • If you are scheduled to graduate, submit your Graduation Petition along with this form. Failure to do so may delay your graduation.

    Once you submit your Graduation Petition, you do not need to submit again if making a change to your schedule.

  • Use the IEP registration form provided by the ELI department for initial registration. Use this form to change your schedule after initial registration.

  • If you completed the previous semester and wish to continue in Open Enrollment without a break in enrollment, use this form to register for the upcoming term. For approval, see the chair of the department offering the course you wish to take.

    If you did not complete the previous semester, excluding summer, submit an Open Enrollment application to reactivate your enrollment.

  • Exchange students taking IEP courses use the IEP registration form provided by the ELI department for initial registration. This form is used if you need to change your schedule after initial registration.

    Exchange students taking bridge and degree courses use this form to register. See the Exchange Advisor for assistance in selecting classes.  We recommend that you verify that the classes you have selected will transfer back to your home school. If necessary, you may change your schedule through the add/drop deadline.
