Thank you for showing interest in bringing Mission Opera's "Boxtop Opera" program, sponsored by Supervisor Kathryn Barger, to your school or institution.

This new educational outreach initiative is slated to go into dozens of K-12 schools (and potentially some community colleges) next semester to bring music into lower income, underprivileged areas. It features a handful of singers, a pianist, and an audio tech, as we travel around with a "box" of Opera props and costume pieces, with a digital piano and portable PA system and teach children about opera and classical music through the "Bugs Bunny hits," in a very fast-paced, educational and entertaining way.

Each school will cost $750 per performance, and we will change shows every year, with hopes of returning. Funding sources available upon request.
