National Council Delegate Application

Delegates to the National Council Session must be registered members of the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland and at least 14 years of age. Delegates and alternates must commit to participating in preparatory meetings, attending national council sessions (including Orlando, Florida in July, 2023), and communicating with GSKH membership. The term of office is three years, or until a successor is elected. Travel, registration, hotel, meals, and other considerations for the 2023 National Council Session in Orlando will be provided for elected delegates. Delegates are personally responsible for costs associated with activities outside the scope of the National Council Session.

*The time commitment includes pre-convention meetings of 1 to 2-hours each, several days in Orlando, Florida, and personal preparation time to become familiar with propositions and other business to be brought before the delegate body. Delegates are personally responsible for necessary mobility assistance to guarantee timely arrival at meetings. When not in session, delegates are free to enjoy the convention activities. Adult delegates are expected to share responsibility for chaperoning girl delegates.
