Foreverhome Pet Rescue, Inc. Logo
  • This application is intended to match the right animal with the right home. The more detail you provide, the better.  All of our adoptable pets are provided with age appropriate vetting which includes, Veterinary wellness visit and exam, Deworming, Microchip, Heartworm test (for dogs that are age appropriate), Feline Leukemia/FIV test (for cats), All age appropriate core vaccinations, and Monthly preventative. The rescue determines when to spay/neuter all animals based on: 1) age, 2) weight, and 3)various health factors to ensure surgery is performed safely. Foster2Forever covers the cost of the steralization surgery if it completed by a partnering veterinarian.

    • In the event that the adopting family wishes to use their own veterinarian the cost of the surgery must be completed at their own expense. All adopting families must provide documentation to the rescue of scheduling of the spay/neuter appointment and completion of the appointment. If documentation is not recieved two weeks after the surgery is preformed the rescue will consider this a breach of contract. Foster2Forever adoption fees are on a individual case by case basis. If any information is left blank, we will be unable to review your application. If you are approved to adopt the pet you are applying for, this application will become a part of your permanent adoption file.

Please understand that not all families and dogs/cats are compatible. Foster2Forever requires all adopters keep the animal(s) isolated for ten days to allow all vaccinations recieved to take effect. We make every effort to match our animals’ personality traits with characteristics in which you have said you desire. Our goal is to match happy adopters with happy, healthy pets. We strive to place our animals in the best possible home. Foster2Forever has the right to deny adoption of any animal to anyone for any reason. COMPLETION OF THIS APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ADOPTION OF A PET FROM OUR RESCUE.

Please NOTE: COMPLETION OF THIS APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ADOPTION OF A PET FROM OUR RESCUE.

We are very excited that you are considering adopting an animal from Foster2Forever Rescue. Through transport we have been able to help many animals find their forever families! Transport is such an amazing opportunity for the animals in our care. Northern states do not suffer from the over population issues we have here in Texas, they also have more spay/neuter and vaccination laws that are enforced. Because of this Northern states avoid having an animal crisis like we see in Texas.

We currently have monthly transports to all of the United States except Hawaii and Alaska! The first step for adopting one of the animals in our care is an adoption application, once your application has been submitted and approved our team will walk you through the remaining steps. We can’t wait to help match you with your forever friend!

    • YOU ARE MAKING A MAJOR COMMITMENT WHEN YOU ADOPT ANY PET. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ANIMALS CAN LIVE FOR 20 OR MORE YEARS. THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS ARE KILLED AT ANIMAL SHELTERS EACH YEAR BECAUSE THEIR OWNERS DID NOT PLAN FOR THE FUTURE. ANIMALS CAN GET SICK AND REQUIRE EXPENSIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR LIFE. ALL ANIMALS NEED AFFECTION, ATTENTION AND UNDERSTANDING. YOU MAY HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR LIFESTYLE TO ACCOMMODATE A NEW PET. IF YOU ARE READY TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT. If understood and agreed upon, you will provide your signature on the bottom of this document.

    • If I am approved to adopt, I understand that if for any reason this animal does not work out in my home, that I will contact Foster2Forever immediately. I will not give the animal away to anyone, nor sell him/her, but will contact Foster2Forever immediately for guidance. I understand that Foster2Forever is not an open intake facility. Foster2Forever is a no kill, non-profit, animal- rescue and our space directly depends on adoptions. All intakes are scheduled by appointment and appointments are made based on open foster availability. Volunteers will respond typically within 3-5 business days. Please keep this in mind when choosing to attempt to surrender an animal to us. Foster2Forever requires you to complete a form to have your animal considered for intake. Surrender appointments usually take anywhere between 15-30 minutes. We do not provide a pick up service. Once, your appointment is scheduled, please bring in your animal at that time. Late appointments (past 30 minutes will not be accepted.) A $25.00 surrender fee will be required if your animal was previously adopted from Foster2Forever. If any animal is on current medication it must be provided to Foster2Forever when surrendered. If understood and agreed upon, you will provide your signature on the bottom of this document.
