    TRADE LICENSE BOARD

    Application Form for Trade/Business License:

  • REQUIREMENTS WHERE APPLICABLE:

  • ALL RENEWING BUSINESSES FOR 2022 MUST SUBMIT:
    1.    Completed Application Form (Signed and dated by Owner).
    2.    Applicable to Companies – Certified Copy of Certificate of Registration with Memorandum & Articles of Association documents.
    3.    Applicable to Companies: Certified Copy of List of Shareholders for Current Year (Annual Return).
    4.    Applicable to Business Names - Copy of Business Name Certificate of Registration. 
    5.    Applicable to Professionals – need to submit certificate.
    6.    Applicable to Foreigners - may need to submit work permit or residency card.
    7.    Two (2) clear photographs of the business (1 Front, 1 Inside).
    8.    Owners identification card (passport or social security). 
    9.    If renting - copy of must recent Rent Receipt.
    10. Applicants for establishments such as restaurant, fast foods, grocery shops, deli etc. must be submitted with valid certification from the Health Department.
    11. Every business shall pay a garbage fee - will be notified.
    12. Premises property tax must be cleared or arrangements made with the Council for payment.
    13. An application fee of $100.

    REQUIREMENTS for all NEW APPLICANTS IN ADDITION TO 1 to 13 above
    1.    Fire Department No Objection Report.
    2.    Original Police Record of all owners or shareholders (dated within 6 months from date of submission).

    Note:
    1)    In accordance with the Trade License Act the San Pedro Trade Licensing Board meets on a quarterly basis in January, April, July and October. Applicants who miss these meeting or would like their applications considered before these dates may pay a $150 for a Special Meeting.
     
    2)    Whenever a business is out of operation, all outstanding tax must be paid and the owner must write the Board and request that the account be closed. The change of location, change of ownership or change of business name requires that the board be notified in writing.
