  • If you are applying for a renewal and you like to change your photo, you must provide one (1) photo. If not, we can process with the renewal with the old picture. 

    Your photo must be:

    • In color
    • 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size
    • Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (between 25 and 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head. 
    • Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
    • Taken in front of a plain white background
    • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
    • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open
    • Taken in clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis:
    • Do not wear a hat or head covering that obscures the hair or hairline, unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.
    • Headphones, wireless hands-free devices or similar items are not acceptable in your photo.
    • If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device or similar articles, they may be worn for your photo.
    • Dark glasses or non-prescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons (a medical certificate may be required)
    • Glare on glasses is not acceptable in your photo. Glare can be avoided with a slight downward tilt of the glasses or by removing the glasses or by turning off the camera flash.

    FAQ:

    1. How many years can I renew my driver's license?
    You can renew your driver's license for a maximum 3 years.

    2. Do I have to wait until my driver's license to expire to renew my license?
    No. You can renew 30 days before your license expires.
     
    3. Can I renew my driver's license if I still owe property tax?
    No. Your driver's license will be block from the renewal system.
     
    4. Can I renew my driver's license if it is lost, stolen or damaged?
    No. A lost, damaged or stolen driver's license can only be replaced at the San Pedro Traffic Department.
     
    5. My license has not yet expired but I want to renew my license. Can I renew my license for additional years through the online service?
    No. If your driver's license is not expired or within the renewal period it cannot be renewed online.
     
    6. Can I renew my learner's permit online?
    No. A learner's permit must be renewed at the San Pedro Traffic Department.
     
    7. I am over 70 years old and I cannot renew my license online. How can I resolve this issue?
    You must check with San Pedro Traffic Department and fill out an additional form. Individuals over the age of 70 must renew their driver's license at the San Pedro Traffic Department
     
    8. I did not receive a confirmation code from the renewal website. How can I resolve this issue?

    Solution 1: Check your spam folder to locate the confirmation code. Some email clients may consider the email as spam.
    Solution 2: Try clicking the Send Confirmation Code again to receive another confirmation code.
    Solution 3: Verify that the email address that you have supplied is correct.
    Solution 4: Contact the Traffic Department for further support.
     
    9. How can I verify that my license has been renewed by using the online service?
    A copy of the receipt is sent via email to the email address supplied during the email confirmation process. Present this receipt upon collecting your driver's license along with your old driver's license.
     
    10. I did not receive a receipt for the service. How can I resolve this issue?
    Contact the San Pedro Traffic Department for support.


    11. Is international delivery available?
    At the moment, international delivery is not available.
     
    12. I renewed my license online. How long must I wait to pick up my driver's license?
    Your driver's license will be available for Delivery within 3-7 business days. You will be contacted when it is available.
     
    13. What do I need upon collecting my driver's license?
    You will need the following:
    1. A copy of the receipt sent via email to the email address supplied during the email confirmation process.
    2. Your old driver's license.
     
    14. Am I required to sign any document upon delivery of my driver's license?
    The delivery personnel will require you to sign two document.

    These documents are:
    1. Delivery confirmation letter.
    2. Driver's license renewal verification form.
     
    15. Am I required to submit my old driver's license upon delivery of my driver's license?
    Yes. We ask that you submit your old driver's license 
     
    16. Whom do I need to check with to pick up my driver's license?
    The security guard at the San Pedro Traffic Department will direct you to the personnel in charge of issuing driver's license.
     
    17. Can I drive with the receipt from the online renewal service?
    Yes. You can drive with the online renewal service receipt.
     
    18. What do I do if there are problems renewing my driver's license?
    Contact the San Pedro Traffic Department for support.
     
    19. I did not receive my driver's license and it has been past 3 days. How can I resolve this issue?
    Contact the San Pedro Traffic Department for support.
     
    20. I do not owe any tax, yet my driver's license is block. How can I resolve this issue?
    Contact the Revenue Department for inquiries about any tax payment.
