• Gingerbread House Competition Sign-Up

  • Entry Form Due: November 16th online or in person.  Entry fee is $5.00

    Gingerbread House Kits are provided for all categories except Professional.

    A kit will give you the basics, feel free to add additional candies and other decorations to make your entry unique.

    Pick-Up Kit :  November 18th Betsy Thomason State Farm (10AM till 5PM)

     

    Gingerbread Drop Off: All entries December 7th, 4PM till 6PM at 114 Adams Ave (Downtown)

    Judging and Rules:

    1.     Gingerbread houses will be provided to contestants in each division except the Professional Division,

    2.     Please note all parts of Gingerbread House must be edible. (No foil or paper wrapping on candy) Gingerbread Houses may be mechanically enhanced.

    3.     Structure should be on a sturdy base – heavy cardboard, foam core or wood depending on weight. If using cardboard, cover base with aluminum foil so that moisture from the icing does not soak into it.

    4.     No names or advertising will be allowed on the Gingerbread House, display or table prior to judging.

    5.     Final judging will consist of four categories:

    a.      Overall Appearance

    b.     Creativity and Imagination

    c.      Holiday Spirit Incorporated in Design

    d.     Difficulty

    e.      Use of Materials

    6.     Judges’ decisions will be final

    7.    The winners will be on display by December 8th. Prizes can be picked up from 4PM - 6PM December 9th at 114 Adams Ave. 

    8.     The Gingerbread Houses will remain on display through the Christmas Holiday.
