I understand that I am enrolling in the private security course - Texas - Continued Education Private Investigation Training Course(s) and that the cost of the course is (non-refundable). I further understand that I am taking the above course(s) free of coercion and in order to gain knowledge in the field of Texas Private Security. I understand that my taking this course does not bind or obligate security agencies to hire me in any form or represent that I will be hired with any agency in any form. Training course with more than fifteen (15) years of continued licensure as a private investigator shall complete a total of twelve (12) hours of continuing education, eight (8) hours of which must relate to investigations, two (2) hours of which must cover ethics, and two (2) hours of which must involve the review of the Act and the rules of this chapter. Private investigators with less than fifteen (15) years of continued licensure as a private investigator shall complete a total of eighteen (18) hours of continuing education, fourteen (14) of which must relate to investigations, two (2) hours of which must cover ethics, and two (2) hours of which must involve the review of the Act and the rules of this chapter. Any individual licensed as a private investigator who fails to complete the required continuing education during the twenty-four (24) months of initial licensure is not eligible to make a new or renewal application until such time as the training requirement for the previous licensure period has been satisfied.
