Safety Net Quizzes help NWT residents determine what safety measures they can use to help prevent COVID-19. Further information about safety measures is provided based on quiz results.

Please note, these are not official evaluations and no information provided is deemed advice from the Office of the NWT Chief Public Health Officer. These quizzes provide ways to get used to thinking about risk and determining your own level of comfort and safety as we get used to living with COVID-19.

The following COVID-19 Safety Net Quiz can help you think about the risks involved with travel. Based on the results, you can then decide what personal safety measures or healthy habits might work for you.

Do not travel unless necessary for medical or other reasons considered essential.

If the Office of the Chief Public Health Officer has recommended against non-essential travel it means the COVID-19 risk in the community where you are travelling to is high. Travelling to this community increases the risk of you getting COVID-19 and spreading COVID-19 to other communities.

    Do not travel.

The person who intended to travel but now has COVID-19 symptoms should not travel until a COVID-19 test is done.

    • If positive, DO NOT travel. You will need to stay home and isolate.
    • If negative, follow the advice of a public health representative.
    • If this traveller is a member of the same household as other travellers, no one should travel regardless of vaccination status who belong to that household, and should ask about testing.

If the symptomatic traveller is not a member of the same household and has not been in close contact with any other travellers, travel is ok as long as symptomatic traveller is no longer attending, or has had a negative COVID-19 test and was advised it is okay to travel.
