    All Brunton customers, including distributors, wholesalers, universities, direct accounts, and end users should use this form if wanting to send a Brunton Transit, OmniSight/Slope, or Vintage Compass back to our production facility in Riverton, WY for service.
  • Please note:

    • We only service BRUNTON manufactured transits (geological compasses), OmniSights/Slopes, and vintage compasses.
    • Brunton transits manufactured prior to 1990 are not eligible for repair due to the phasing out of former parts and pieces. These transits have serial numbers that are less than 10 digits.
    • Brunton transits, Omnis, and vintage compasses have a 1-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects only.  Repair charges will be assessed if unit was damaged due to customer use.  Warranty requires product registration.
    • $150 for US/Canada transit repair, recalibration, & rebalance - cost includes shipping back to the customer.  
    • $175 for International (not US/Canada) transit repair, recalibration, & rebalance - cost includes shipping back to the customer.
    • $75 for transit recalibration & rebalance only - cost includes shipping back to the customer.
    • $100 for (NIST, NRC, NPL, PTB, AND LNE) transit compatible, compliant calibration.
    • $75 for OmniSlope/Sight or vintage compass repair - cost includes shipping back to the customer. 
    • Payment is required after completion of repair, before product(s) will be shipped back to customer.  Our team will reach out to you for payment information based on what service was needed.
    • Not all repairs are possible!  Each situation will differ depending on product type & age, available parts, and the type and extent of damage.  Our team will communicate with you if a requested repair is not possible.
