TOURNAMENT RULES
(Failure to read is no excuse)
CLASSIC DIVISION: MEN, WOMEN AND SENIORS
Eligibility—Open to all 2024-2025 TNBA members who are certified by TNBA and USBC. Senior bowlers must be 50 years or older and Super Seniors must be 60 years or older at the time of bowling.
All bowlers must be 18 years or older before the start of the tournament.
Entry Closing Date: All entries must be fully paid with the Tournament Director by March 7, 2025. All entries must be accompanied by a certified check or
money order. (NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED).
Cancellation Policy: A refund minus $10.00 processing fee will be given for cancellations made 72 hours prior to the start of the tournament. There will be no
refunds without a replacement within 72 hours of the start of the tournament. NO REFUNDS FOR NO SHOWS.
Tournament Format: Men, Women and Seniors
a) All entrants will bowl one eight (8) game set, Super Seniors will bowl 6 games.
b) Based on the highest pin fall for eight (8) games, the field is then cut to the money round by a ratio of 1:6, depending on the initial division size, to be determined based on entries.
c) Bowlers making the cut will return Sunday at 9 am and bowl four (3) games for positioning.
d) The top five (5) bowlers will be determined by the highest pin fall for eleven (11) games. The top five bowlers will then bowl a stair-step format, fifth(5th) place bowls fourth (4th) place. The winner will bowl against the third (3rd) place finisher and so forth.
e) The final roll-off game between the top two finalist for the championship will be bowled on a neutral pair of lanes.
Ties: In case of a tie for determining the cut, there will be a two (2) frame roll-off to determine who advances. The two (2) frame roll-off will continue until a winner is determined. In case of a tie during the stair-step competition, a two (2) frame roll-off will be held to determine the bowler to advance or the final winner.
TNBA and USBC cards my be purchased on site. All bowlers must present proof of TNBA & USBC certification before bowling.
PLEASE READ THESE RULES
Bowling Attire: All entrants are REQUIRED to wear a shirt/blouse with the participants name on the back or you will not be able to bowl. Tank tops, halter tops, tee-shirts, jeans (of any color), sweats, spandex (pants/skirts), and short pants of any kind for men will not be allowed. Female participants may wear skirts, culottes, shorts, capri pants, or skorts that extend beyond their fingers when arms are down at their sides. Bowlers may not wear headgear of any kind. The tournament director will have the final say on infractions of the rules. NO EXCEPTIONS TO ANY PART OF THIS RULE.
PBA Rule: Current or past PBA members will be permitted to bowl in TNBA tournaments if they have not achieved the following: (a) top 40 on PBA tour money or point list in the past three years; (b) won a PBA tour title in past seven years; c) top 20 on PBA Regional tour money or point list; (d) won a PBA Regional tour title in past four years. PBA50 and WPBA members will be permitted to bowl providing they have not achieved the following: (a) top 20 on PBA50/WPBA tour money or point list in the past two years; (b) won a PBA50/WPBA tour title in past four years; c) top 10 on PBA50/WPBA Regional tour money or point list; (d) won a PBA Regional tour title in past two years.
Prize Fund: 100% of the prize fund will be returned.
Any bowler earning $600.00 or more (including brackets and/or tournament winnings) must provide a social security number for tax form W9, before payout is received.
Premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency or emergency causes relating thereto fire, natural disaster, or any other reason beyond control of the TNBA Western Rhodman Tournament shall cause, the extent required hereby, all prizes to be prorated in accordance with the number of
entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up to the time of such termination.
No switching hands will be allowed, the hand you start with is the hand you must finish with.
Rules—All rules not stated above will be governed by TNBA and USBC rules.
The Tournament Committee has the final say for decisions and reserves the right to refuse or reject any entry.
