This permit is optional - can be required if determined by the project team. If a component of a guardrail system must be removed, the competent person can complete a Guardrail Removal Permit. The permit ensures adequate communication of guardrail removal and that other means of fall protection are in place to protect affected employees while the guardrail is removed.
