1. SCOPE OF SERVICES.

We will prepare your annual federal and state income tax returns from information submitted by you.  We do not express an opinion nor are we confirming the accuracy of information provided by you. We will also provide tax planning advice as needed. With limited authority on certain situations pertaining to this return we can speak to the IRS on your behalf.

2. CLIENT’S DUTIES.

To the best of your knowledge, you confirm that the information submitted to us to prepare your tax return is correct and includes all income, deductions and other information necessary for tax preparation. The information provided by you is your own representation to which you deem true and accurate and has been provided to us with a reasonable amount of time to allow us to adequately prepare your return.

3. PRIVACY.

Affluent Tax & Accounting Services will take every precaution and measure to safeguard clients’ information and prevent identity theft.

4. PREPARATION FEES.

The Pricelist below provides our current packages and fees based on your Tax Return filing status and any required schedules used to complete the service.  Our current hourly rate for any additional hours, is billed at $68.00 per hour* for more complex Returns that take longer to process.  The amounts shown on the Price List for each return represent the 1st hour of processing.  Please note any additional hours spent working on Returns WILL NOT exceed 3 hours.  Rates do not include any applicable discounts.

5. COSTS & OTHER CHARGES.

In the event, we are to incur various costs and expenses in performing the services under this agreement. You agree to pay for those costs and expenses in addition to the hourly fees. The costs subject to reimbursement are fees fixed by law, fees assessed by public agencies, postage, messenger costs and other delivery fees, parking, travel expenses, photocopying, reproduction costs and charges for computer processing.

6. INVOICES/ORDERS.

Fees and costs are due upon services rendered/receipt of invoice/order.

7. DISCHARGE/WITHDRAWAL.

You may discharge us at any time. We may withdraw with your consent or at any time under the following circumstances:

(a) Failure to pay fees or costs as required by this agreement,

(b) Refusal to cooperate with us or follow our advice on a material matter,

(c) Circumstance that would render our continuing representation unlawful or unethical

Notwithstanding our withdrawal, you will remain obligated to pay us at the agreed rates for all services provided, and to reimburse us for all costs advanced, before the withdrawal. If we are required to bring a legal action of any type in order to collect moneys owed, you will reimburse us for the costs of such action, including reasonable attorney fees.

8. DOCUMENT RETENTION POLICY.

Our engagement is confidential, so we will not disclose any information about you unless we are required/permitted by law. This applies even if you are no longer a client. We are required by law to retain your tax return and any documents used to complete it for up to 7 years depending on the action, expense or event which the document records. By signing this Agreement, you hereby agree to our retention requirements.

9. DISCLAIMER OF GUARANTEE.

We stand behind our work and brand. Integrity is important to us. We will inform you of any material errors that come to our attention and any irregularities or illegal acts that come to our attention during processing. A completed copy of your tax returns will be provided following full payment of services rendered. You may have a copy of the return via the tax office portal, a delivered hard copy via email or placed onto a USB drive. Affluent Tax & Accounting Services WILL NOT fax completed tax returns.

10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT.

This agreement herein contains our entire agreement. No other agreement, statement or promise made on or before the effective date of this agreement will be binding. Please acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions set forth above

This program lets you prepare and file your federal individual income tax return for free if your adjusted gross income (AGI) was $73,000 or less using brand-name tax-preparation-and-filing software or Free File fillable forms. However, state tax preparation may not be available through Free File.
