Aston Support Fund / Susan Cadbury Fund
The Aston Support Fund and Susan Cadbury Fund can offer small grants to current students who are in unexpected financial difficulties.

Applications to University support funds are considered on a case by case basis. You may be offered financial support if you are experiencing an unforeseen situation that has impacted on your financial capability to afford short term living costs.

Note that University support funds will not be given to help pay outstanding tuition fees.

The application form has five pages for you to submit information. Should the Fund Administrators require further information they will be in touch via the email address you provide.

Prior to completing this form please ensure you have the following pieces of required evidence available in an attachable format:
- Three months' of up to date bank statements for all accounts including savings accounts. Ensure the statements show available balance and overdraft, and be prepared to give explanations for all transactions above £100
- Evidence that explains your current financial difficulties
- Evidence of educational loans, i.e. SFE tuition loan and maintenance loans
Please also attach any documents which are relevant to your application, for example wage slips, tenancy agreement / rent arrears, Utility arrears, Council Tax arrears, Court orders etc.

Failure to supply the required information will result in your application being returned to you detailing while and your application closed. You will then need to resubmit the form with the required information.

Standard values are used to calculate an average weekly cost of living, which includes groceries, household costs, travel and TV licence. These figures are listed in the Aston Support Fund policy document, but if you have specific additional costs please indicate these below.

If you have a vehicle in your name, please explain why this is necessary. The costs associated with the running of a vehicle are not normally considered for single students. Costs for running a vehicle may only be considered essentialin this case if the student has a mobility disability and are unable to use public transport.

If you live with a partner or spouse please also submit copies of their bank statements, so we can take total household income into account.
