Why so much info? This information is needed to print out the Boating Cards (credentials for North Carolina) which have your identifying characteristics printed (hair, eyes and height) on them.
Cape Fear Community College where we hold our boating course has returned to a policy requiring those in the building to wear masks (vaccinated and unvaccinated). This is a safety precaution to minimize exposure to highly transmissible Covid-19 variants. We certainly recognize the inconvenience this causes as our instructors will also be required to mask up. Fortunately there is a microphone in the room to help with sound projection. We cannot say at this point whether masks will still be required on the day of class, February 12. If you are not willing or able to wear a mask during the all-day class then you may wish to consider waiting for a future class later this year.
The capacity of the boat for the optional On-The-Water portion of the class is 45 students. Space will be allocated based on the order the sign ups are received. If needed, we will offer an additional On-The-Water cruise on an alternate date. Unfortunately, we will not know the final numbers until the start of class since not everyone shows up who registered.
