All current members whom are in "Good-Standing" are highly encouraged to apply for the Board of Directors as well as for any and all Committee positions that they are able and qualified to fill. Current Board Members are HIGHLY encouraged to apply for lateral and/or higher office within the organization. The Nominations Committee will review all applications, request more information as needed, and deliver a final report recommending applicants for the best suited positions that are in the best interest of the WCRLs. The more positions that one applies for, the higher the chances of being selected for something.

Available Positions:

Please select ALL the Board positions you are interested in and briefly list your qualifications for each. The Nominations Committee will review all applications and make their recommendations at our January 17th, 2021 Member Meeting.
Board Positions: The WCRL's Board of Directors currently meets once per month for approximately 2 hours in the evening on the 1st Thursday of each month. If selected for a Board position, you have the ability to suggest a new day and time for these meetings. Attendance and active participation is essential to the success of the WCRLs. *

President Elect; serves as the 2nd in command and runs the day to day operations of the organization, oversees the Candidate Review Committee, and reports directly to the President (time commitment is 8-10 hours per month). The President Elect shall become the President on January 1st, 2023 serving a 2-year term through December 31st 2024 (time commitment is 12-15 hours per month), followed by a 2-year term as Past-President from January 1st 2025 through December 31st 2026 (time commitment is 8-10 hours per month). Vice President of Communications; shall oversee the Meetings & Calendar Committee; develop and execute the communications and messaging strategy for the WCRLs; oversee maintenance and frequent updates to the website and social media accounts; and assist in drafting press releases as they are needed. This term will end on December 31st, 2022 with a time commitment of 8-10 hours per month. Vice President of Membership; shall oversee the Membership Committee; develop and execute programs to serve the needs and promote the growth of the WCRLs. This includes but not limited to: community service opportunities and social events, reviewing membership applications, and managing, training and gainfully employing an active Membership Committee. This term will end on December 31st, 2022 with a time commitment of 8-10 hours per month. Treasurer; shall oversee the Fundraising Committee; receive all funds for the WCRLs; make regular and timely deposit and invoice payments; keep a complete and accurate record of funds (donations, sponsorships, and memberships); and shall submit timely ethics, tax and other financial filings as required by law and/or the Board of Directors. This term will end on December 31st, 2022 with a time commitment of 6-8 hours per month. Secretary; shall oversee the Advisory & Suggestions Committee; keep record of all proceedings of the WCRLs Member Meetings and Board of Directors; shall send correspondences on behalf of the WCRLs as directed by the President; and shall manage the electronic storage of all files, photos, and documents of the WCRLs not otherwise disposed. This term will end on December 31st, 2022 with a time commitment of 6-8 hours per month. I am not applying for a Board position at this time.

Committee Positions *

Membership Committee; shall report directly to the Vice President of Membership. This committee is responsible for greeting and assisting all attendees (members and guests) with sign-in; ensuring guests do not exceed "visiting limits" as outlined in the by-laws, assist in collecting membership dues at meetings; encouraging guests to apply for membership; and be a brand-ambassador of the Williamson County Republican Leaders. This is a standing committee appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the President. The time commitment for this committee is 2-4 hours per month. Meetings & Calendar Committee; shall report directly to the Vice President of Communications. This committee is responsible for the current and preceding year's scheduled Member Meetings; managing the agenda, speakers, panels, nominations, elections, and endorsements. This is a standing committee appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the President. The time commitment for this committee is 4-6 hours per month. Fundraising Committee; shall report directly to the Treasurer. This committee is responsible for coordinating fundraising events such as the annual Christmas Party, picnics, and other offsite events to accommodate statewide candidate panels, national speakers, and/or celebrity speakers. This is a standing committee appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the President. The time commitment for this committee is 2-4 hours per month. Advisory & Suggestions Committee; shall report directly the Secretary. This committee is responsible for soliciting and receiving positive and negative feedback from the WCRLs Membership, guests, and the public; compile received data; generate monthly reports and action plans; and present to the Board of Directors monthly. This is a standing committee appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the President. The time commitment for this committee is 2-4 hours per month. Candidate Review Committee; shall consist of no fewer than 3 and no more than 7 members which are appointed by the President, approved by the membership, and reports directly to the President Elect. This committee shall; develop an action plan to present to/be approved by the Board of Directors, solicit and receive applications from candidates seeking the endorsement of the WCRLs, interview candidates (as warranted), and generate and present a final report of endorsement recommendations to the Membership. The time commitment for this committee is 2-4 hours per month. Financial Review Committee; shall consist of 3 members (not officers) shall be appointed by and reports directly to the President. This committee shall review the books of the WCRLs and deliver their report to the Membership. The time commitment for this committee is 4-6 hours per year. I am not applying for a Committee position at this time.
