Hi! Thanks for your interest in my work. Please read the following information before submitting your request.
I am an apprentice tattooer! I am still learning every day. Please view my Instagram to see my recent work and current skill level and make sure that you are comfortable with where I'm at before requesting an appointment. Thank you!
I practice client-focused, consent-driven, trauma-informed tattooing. I strive to ensure that you feel comfortable asking questions, requesting design changes, or taking breaks at any time. I am happy to make accommodations and you are welcome to bring headphones, a book, or anything else you may need.
You are welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment, though I do prefer working with my clients one-on-one. The studio is not wheelchair accessible.
I am booking for March and April and my rate is $100 an hour.
This rate covers the many hours outside of tattooing that I spend drawing, sanitizing, scheduling, etc. My minimum is $100 per person, even if your tattoo only takes half an hour, so you are welcome to request multiple small tattoos at once.
Cash only!
Please bring cash to your appointment. I will give you a time/price estimate when we discuss the details.
➙ Tips are greatly appreciated! If you are new to getting tattooed, most people tip around 20% if they are satisfied with their appointment.
I require a $50 deposit.
The deposit will be subtracted from the total. I will give you instructions for sending it through Venmo.
It's hard to predict how long a tattoo will take.
I'll ask for your budget so that I can factor it into the design planning, but I cannot always accurately predict the length of the appointment. There are many factors and each person is different, so please be understanding.
➙ Smaller does not always mean cheaper. A small, detailed tattoo can take just as long as a large one. Additionally, some areas of the body require more care, which equates to more time. Ex. a tattoo on the ribs will likely take longer than on the arm, even if the design is identical, because the skin is thinner and the area is constantly moving.
Some flash designs are repeatable.
I repeat some of my flash designs, so if a few people fall in love with the same image, they each have a chance to get it. However, I always ensure that there is something unique about each one, whether that means different sizing, placement, details, etc. If I am not repeating a design, I am always happy to draw something similar for you.
I am unable to accept every request.
If you don't hear from me within 2 weeks of your submission, I unfortunately wasn't able to accept your request at this time. I have limited availability and it's nothing against you or your idea!
I offer a free touch-up for each tattoo.
If you'd like to schedule a touch-up, you can skip this form and email audrey@thorntailtattoo.com.
