Emmaus Bible College has the desire to help form and educate the student both in and out of the classroom. While much learning happens within the classroom experience, it is the desire of the College for each of its students to learn personal accountability, develop lifelong relationships, and understand proper standards in living within a community. As such, the College requires all full-time students to live on campus so they may take part in the growth and development offered within a residential living environment. However, it has been determined that there are students who qualify for an exception to live-off campus.
• Married students
• Students living with parents, grandparents, or legal guardians
• Students 24 years old or older prior to the first day of classes
• Students who are entering their 5th year in the Emmaus residence halls but are not yet 24 years old
• Students living with a child/dependent
The following students qualify for an exception based on their current academic status. Residence Life staff will confirm this status with the college Registrar.
• Educational Ministry Students completing a 12 credit internship in their last semester. (students completing an internship early and returning as a full-time student after their internship will be required to resume living in residence)
• Teacher Education students completing a student teaching assignment in their last semester.
• 3rd and 4th year NICC Nursing students as indicated by the Registrar. (taking 3 credits or fewer classes on campus). Cross-Cultural Nursing Students or other applied health sciences in their final year only as indicated by the Registrar (taking 3 credits or fewer classes on campus)
